last note: since mentioned by name, Su goods reclaimed, now un-reclaimed....there were some there that i had not undone since the timing was so close to 'present' ... an exception to the norm but fixed now regardless.....

than all i can say is and in no way do i speak for forum on this,that there is an exception to every rule and if that is truely what happened im sure it will get sorted out if you just have patience

nobody is 'missing' anything if their account was rolled back, and then un-rolled back.

i backed up user table, weapons table.
got old info from just before the server move/enhancement update.
put old info in for the 88 or so users who used the 'reclaim goods'.

then saw forum, and gave up.....

then put back the users and weapons from the 88 users.... EXACTLY as they were when i backed them up not 10 minutes before....

no typing in info, no mistakes - simply a presaved database query that moved data from one place to the other....

there is no reason why things would change from what they were before the rollback (but after i removed the goods reclaimed that should not have been able to be reclaimed as discussed throughout this thread).

So what now, the ones who "tested" it some what 4 times are now better off, and the ones who got caught by ascending etc are fixed again, it was an exploit, the ones who "tested" it from what i can see in that list that was first posted, are not new to this game at all, and they know the market does not return goods like that,

Its amazing that when Admin fixes something everyone cries, when he then looks for an alternative everyone else cries, makes me wonder why he bothers at all at times.

Why not if u used that bug and you know you did it, fess up to it and say hey admin i owe you xxx naq xxx units, cause after all it was a bug and you shouldnt have them....

First offf, my apologies for my outburst - it was second time innocent players were punished in last 14 days. (my husband was suspended, and then some of innocent players too, like week ago...) I am all for punishing real cheaters, but when innocent players are hurt, it always make me go nuts. It's sad people exploit in game...what does it bring to them?

Anyways, I would never cheat, and so would never many of players on that list. I hope real cheaters and exploiters will be caught soon; without innocents being hurt. (As much as it's difficult...sadly)

Thanks for fixing me - speaking for myself, I would never abuse a bug, so I am glad my name, along with those innocent, were cleaned. Once again, I apologize for such outburst.

I wish you strong will while dealing with us, annoying players.

How far did you roll me back? I have e-mailed you the bug when it happened to my account and have a SS of my number of units which is now 2 million less, so unless you rolled me back a decent distance, i'm rather confused. Look through your e-mails for "Admin@MiddleEarthWars.com and you will see my notes sent to you.

i did not rollback. i just updated what i removed from account after looking at all the trade 'reclaims' so that it matched what was reclaimed.
i think in total it was about 30mil units; 20k turn; 170 or 270 bil naq.... i initially took only 17bil; 3mil units; 5k turns.... so this most recent update removed 27mil miner; 15k turn; 150 or 250 bil naq if i remember correctly.
what - exactly - do yo uthink you are 'short' based on what you had before using the trade refund thing?
(i have too many email - pls discuss here.. i dont mind being public since everything else on this issue is....including accusations on you by others )

(ps i am using laptop and memory now... my figures -especially naq - may be off but you know what you lost, and i have it recorded on my main computer...)

people use a bug. call it testing, or whatever.
i fix.
the 'fix' causes some chain of events that turns out not to be in your favour.
call this the cost of bug testing....the safest route is to not do things to your account that will require intervention, which always has a risk factor associated.....

i saw the topic about new updates released and then had a look around my account and saw the recover goods in the broker and pushed it. at first i thought it was an update. when i was pushing it i didnt even know i would get goods back as i hadnt read the topic yet
anyway im all good.
was kinda hoping you'd roll me back to before i was massed but hey lol
anyway in all sincerity thank you for your work on this issue

well i think this might at least teach people to use their heads before pushing the button. this is the second time this game has had a bug such as this, and people have bashed the button. LEAVE THE DAMN BUTTON ALONE, dont hurt it. its a nice button.


next time use your heads. i think 99% of this game could easily see that refunded old trades was a bug.


oh btw, while you are here admin, can you look at the ascended bugs forum? i had a rather painful one that hasnt been fixed yet i think

It's funny how all the people who abused this bug/exploit are the ones whining when the admin must revert their account to a previous date to make it fair to everyone else.

ITS YOUR FAULT HE HAD TO DO THIS. IF YOU WOULDNT HAVE FOOLED AROUND WITH THE BUG, IT WOULDNT HAVE HAPPENED.

This admin is great compared to other online gaming admins - he works with the players to fix any problems quickly. Treat him like gold cuz he's worth it.

EDIT: I got a good chuckle out of Teal'auc (a mod) flying off the handle and yelling - a role model for the forums acting inappropriately in the same forums he governs. Also a pretty good chuckle outta the big players who lost anywhere from 500k-3 mil uu. Sure, it wasn't fair for you to lose those resources, but it wasn't fair for you to use the bug in the first place. I hope everyone who whined in this thread about losing their resources gets hit by the good ol' karma bus because they felt like whining when they had gotten into this situation by abusing/exploiting a bug.

It appears you got incorrectly caught in the sweeps that happened while fixes were being done. Sure, I'd be mad too if this happened to me, I'd also figure that while the problem was being fixed, mistakes might be made. I just wouldn't expect to see someone like yourself say such things seemingly toward the game and admins. Maybe I unfairly expected moderators to not let emotions have any effect on things they post. =| Didn't mean to take a pick at you.
