Just finished Eldest. Good book, but not as good as the others imo.
Turns out it's not going to be a trilogy after all.

I think it was better written than the other two and closed a lot of holes that people could see coming however I think its going to develop into more than four books the way he is writing it

nah, i'm pretty sure it will finish in book 4
[spoiler]i'm also convinced eragon and arya will leave alagaesia to go to the elven isles
especially considering eragons curse/fate/prophecy to leave
and the fact that he had a vision of 2 dragons flying overhead as a boat left the land (when he was in carvahall)[/spoiler]

i can envisage Roran becoming king, the people of Palancar Valley are of royal blood anyway

added to the fact that he is a charismatic person and a natural born leader
as for Murtagh, he can die for all i care lol
