I consider myself to have been very lucky in modding. I have received thanks, and appreciation threads (mainly from spammers, but they -spammers- are the best kind really). On the other side I've dealt with a lot of nasty stuff. I believe that I can honestly say that I've see the best and the worst.
I will say this: when things get bad those thanks/threads that were given (without me wanting or asking for them... in fact I removed most of them) gives strength to continue. It sounds corny, but it's true. I appreciate and am grateful for that.
I am grateful and appreciative to those who would be so courageous (there is vulnerability in it) and thoughtful to express gratitude to another for their effort. It's easy to rip someone down or tear them apart, but, to try to brighten someone's day is a whole other matter. I think they are the heroes of SGWs.
