..Holy **Filtered**. Mathlord? Anime? THE WORLD IS ENDING! RUNNNNN! :smt110

I was bored last September and had started catching the newer English dubs of Bleach...so I watched every episode in about a month...was it the best for my work or social life? No...there's nothing else after that no...

I really like the animation in the new season though even if it's not manga cannon I suppose.

www.animefreak.tv is best site for bleach , sorry if im nt allowed to post links

but yeah , i prefer to watch subbed epis more enjoyable :)

Moved to NZ and two of my flat mates enjoy their bleach so I sat down and watched the first three seasons (substitute, SS invasion and rescue) and I really enjoyed it. It doesn't go as absurdly far as other anime which usually puts me off (although it pushes it at some points) and the whoe Soul Society reminds me a lot of Jedi. Recently been going through the episodes and have run out at 250 and naturally our internet has gone so I can't stream from anime freak (my usual site as well).

I'm 50/50 on the dubbed vs subbed stuff. I like to go with the original voices and the likes in the subbed but it's easier keepig track of the dubbed so then I can play a game or do something else whilst it's on and just watch the bits that get my attention via sound.

So yes. Such a convert right here. I've liked all the arcs so far. Arrancar arc seemed a little repetitive (more so than the others) but I found the non-canon arcs interesting in general (the bount, new captain and zanpacto). Kisuke Urahara is by far my favourite character followed closely by Captain Shunsui Kyōraku.

I've been a massive fan for a couple of years now, if you want to be naughty you can dl subbed eps from bleachverse.com

Any thoughts on the current arc and where they might run it into the canon again?

as with naruto, i've given up on the anime. Too many horrific filler arcs have ruined the anime for me

manga is pretty good, this is the final arc which has just begun, although, tbh it could have ended about a year ago and I'd have been fairly satisfied

Bleach anime has been cancelled (as of 27th March, 2012). The Magna is going on though. SAD TIMES.

Rumour has it that it might keep going in a few years when the magna has got a substantial lead again so they can avoid coming up with so many fillers.

that'd be the manga series which is on its last story arc?

the one which will be finished in like a year and a half tops

also, good riddance, bleach fillers are worse than naruto fillers....and that says something

Apparently not. The 1000 year blood war is meant to be another massive arc, bigger than the Aizen one or so i've read in more than one place. It's expected to last two-three years. I do mean the magna series is on its last planned arc yes. Quincy stuff (and I so wanted to see something with an aizen re-emergence + the royal guard. Maybe even Ichigo to captain. Sad clown)

I did not mind the fillers. I often found them less ott than the actual story line. The Inaba one was fun, the bount was actually alright but it had an annoying ending. The new captain for 3rd division one was alright too, it actually had some thought in it rather than just stuff goes down, people get shocked, macho posturing, ichigo arrives. Win.

The zanpacto one and the beast blade one were meh. The zanpacto was not purely another Ichigo arriving to save the day arc it added a bit of depth for another fan favourite even if it was preposterous.

Its the same case as most TV series. I'd rather see my favourite characters in a bad storyline than not have them at all. I don't find reading an online comic as entertaining as watching it but what can you do, eh?

Hey MBM. Not see you in a couple of years now!

Last episode as far as I know is 366 I do believe. It was shown in Japan on 27th March. It is rumoured not the be the very final episode though.. apparently it is fairly likely they'll pick the series up in a couple of years when the magna has got ahead.

to be honest, i dont see the reason for fillers in bleach or naruto

sure, they blame it on needing to slow the pace of the anime in order to prevent it from catching up with the manga. One Piece doesnt have fillers, so why do bleach and naruto?

on a side note, manga seems to be getting a little more interesting (in fairness, it cant get any worse than the fullbring arc)

Well if they had used the fillers a little more creatively they could have used them to expand the side characters a hell of a lot more. The fillers are a massive wasted opportunity. Imagine the main story being on Ichigo as a main (as it is) but everytime they needed a filler we got a side story about a different group or main character... some of the other captains for example.

The Magna writers did not even have to do THAT much work.. pretty much a simple word document with bullet pointed start, middle, finish to make sure the key points do not conflict with their canon and story.

That's the difference between western and asian stories though and why I usually have a problem with many asian things. They have no shame in abusing cliche's of their universes over and over again. There is never a limit, always a one up even when its got ridiculous in the rear view...and character development is only done as a side note to a fight and usually only surrounding the main character.
