nah i dont see a real need for that imho, it will only be of viable use for a finite amount of time, i.e while your buying your cheap levels, as there will come a point when you can no longer buy 50-100levels at a time :p

since on ascended its gonna be a huge change, can every1 please get a message on ascended and a period of time to prepare (2-3 weeks) for the update, something like this:

Hello

The update is ready/ prepared, in 2 weeks from now on, it'll be updated on the server



or something along these lines, it'd be really cool to have a message like this

1) will likely drop to below 1000
2) will likely get increased in cost (all levels) relative to beta server. cheaper than production
3) 1app per turn for active accounts is current setup on dev (if turns passed)
4) 1:1 ...but you only get cache if you are full LF&reserve...
5) i am going to stop raid, keep revolution, to make it simple and 'warm and fuzzy feeling' for those who want their revenue protected. this will also help the 'farming' to generate income
6) agreed.

in short - i am doing both teh increased APP->LF and decreasing levels, but not to the degree it is now. Part of reasoning is people like to grow...waiting 2weeks to upgrade one stat (assuming they do not ascend to get app) is a perceived negative.

this is the key point...
no matter how we got to this point, unless we fix the CURRENT situation, the game will stagnate...
i could draw a line and say "on this day, era 1 ends, and the winners are...." and then start 'era 2' (no reset, just change in rules/values).
i will do this if people want a snapshot of 'how it was' ....

but going forward, it has to be attractive to newcomers, those who 'did it right' and those who 'got to where they are with mistakes under their belt' ...

if it cannot do that, it does not fit the goal of the update...

the new values should be in beta within 8hours...
the 'current beta' will be active then, and future arguments/discussions can use those values ...

also - i am going to propose an 'ascension' (APP give) to each account in ascended, based on last ascension ... this will solve teh 'but i just ascended and did not get new values' and the 'why should a just ascended be different than me, who ascended 1.5months ago' and the 'but a new guy can just ascend and pass us all ' arguments...

sounds good to me, looking forward to seeing the new values in a few hours, will the APP values calculated on last ascention be in place in 8 hours on the development server?

don't drop the APP to below where it is now, nobody is saying that should be done at the moment! it's better to have more expensive power ups with a higher APP rate so it's worth ascending.

I like the suggestion about resetting but the new server will die just like this one if there are no caps! also there should be a "champions", the top 1% of players in ascension should get a 15% bonus in main and a 45% bonus for the top 0.1%. Then the ascension server could have a cosmic implosion every year to change who gets the benefits, then the new winners take the champion bonus and the old champions get 1/5 of their old bonus.

Don't drop the APP-lifeforce to below where it is now...nobody is saying that should be done...

The increased APP rates are actually encouraging many people to possibly ascend again. Without that being done it will just be back to buying dmu. :(

at 1000LF:1APP its still better than buying DMU

Chargin has made several posts emphasizing the importance of high LF:APP ratio's.
