So if an official set of rules were to be made then ombudsman/ombudswomen(although I am not sure if that is a word or not), would be more appropriate for longterm. I think later someone else suggested ombudsperson be used.

I think some people have missed the point. The technicalities over whether ombudsman/woman/person is correct is irrelevent to the disucsion.
Even if spacey was completely wrong about what the correct word is (I don't think he is but meh) it doesn't mean that he was trying to offend eros with it.

SORRY IF THIS OFFENDS, HOWEVER HERES MY TWO CENTS:
EROS: GROW UP. SPACEY HAS STATED THAT THIS WAS A POLITICAL CORRECTNESS ISSUE, A GENERIC STATEMENT, NOTHING MORE. YOU TAKE ONE THING THAT WASNT INTENDED JUST FOR YOU AND TWIST IT INTO THIS? ISSUES IN THE FORUM ARE NOT INGAME. GET USED TO IT. ANYONE THINK ITS IRONIC THAT THE LAST PART OF HIS NAME IS SORE? ANYWAY, YOU HAVE BEEN PRESENTED WITH FACT AFTER FACT YET YOU PERSIST WITH YOUR DELUDED NOTIONS OF PERSONAL INSULT. FOR EXAMPLE: PSI IS NOT A MOD ANYMORE. I CANT REMEMBER WHO IT WAS WHO SAID THE VOICE OF THE COMMUNITY SAYS 'GROW UP', BUT DEFINITELY AGREED.
SPACEY DOES A FANTASTIC JOB MODERATING. YOUR IMMATURITY IS ALL THERE IS TO THIS.
THOSE WHO WISH TO TAKE IT INGAME, SO WHAT? PERSONALLY, IF I COULD, I WOULD DESTROY EVERY SINGLE LAST ONE OF YOU WHO WISHES TO CONSISTENTLY TAKE SPACEY OUT INGAME.
THERES A KEY WORD IN THAT... GUESS!
IN-GAME
ITS JUST A GAME. STOP WHINING, GET A LIFE, AND PLZ STOP IGNORING WHAT REALLY HAPPENS. I PERSONALLY AM SICK OF IT.

The truth is I did not know what he was talking about, when he first mentioned it.

however while i don't see the offense in this i cannot change the possiblilty someone else might find an offense in this..
just a bit sad really, but that's about how far i'll go with my opinion before i get pulled in this...

lmao..
I am amazed at the ombudsperson's skill to make itself look like a .. wrong candidate. If any politician were to make such a fuss during an election campaign, they'd be sure of one thing: they'll lose.
Otherwise, I am in Psi's camp as usual. Good thing that also happens to be Spaceys camp..

As if it is an insult to be called a woman, even IF that were the case.
I am insulted.. but no, I won't make a thread about the apparent misogyny of our new ombudsman. I know when not to need make a point.

Oi.. how uninformed am I.
Seriously, first I know nothing about any election except for some seemingly random references by 2 people, now I don't know who the ombudspeople are..
Anyway, Jack, my dear.. you're not THAT misogynistic.. just sexist.

*goes to get informed about whoever all are ombudspeople*
Ahh.. election was by respected people.. well, that's clear then.

It's nobodies fault. It is do to with "Political Correctness". It has gone way to far. I know kindergartens that now have to sing "Bah Bah Rainbow Sheep". Eros grow up, Spacey was just doing what he thinks was right.

And well.. as you all know.. I can get pretty nasty..soooo.. expect Spacey to post our MSN convo. I deny nothing I've said and am proud of every single word. I mean business as Ombudsman. Mods will no longer get away with RL insults on others.
I am not afraid of moderators like Spacey who think they are gods. He earlier stated : "Choose your words wizely"
He thinks he's Leonidus from 300 or something.. o well.. enjoy the future read..
The majority agree with you? I have to admit that, as bad as my math skills are, 2/3 of the people saying "No Spacey did not call you a woman" at 2:24 AM or at any other time before or since, does not constitute a majority agreeing with you. In fact, it pretty much means that 2/3 of the SGW community disagrees with you and that you don't have a leg to stand on.

Ero`Sore wrote:I'm sorry Psi but you are not "we". You are a mod.
And yes the people picked me for one of these reasons.
My job and intents are posted in the mod section. It may look now like I'm against mods, but that is wrong. I am against mods who think are gods and think they can do/say anything they want. I praise the mods who do a good legitimate job and i will fight to make sure people know they are good mods.
The people picked you because, for whatever reason, they had not heretofore been exposed to your insanity. Now that they have, they will no longer support your position as ombudsman.
