Pfft..the Dragonball movie was expected by long time fans of the show. Then they saw the trailer, and **Filtered** off.

The only way a good DBZ movie will be made if its animated. Studios just need to leave popular franchises alone. Just cause its a hit in other forms of entertainment that success does not guarantee it will move over to a Big Hollywood film. Especially when you know its gonna be crap.

nah... if it was done right.. a real DBZ movie would have been awesome. If they had been true to the story, made it a bit longer and cast it right... it could have been great.
Like if they had started from Ratiks (I think he was called). That could have worked. Get someone like Gerald Butler (King Leonidas) to play Raticks, then a younger action star... *thinks*...Tom Welling! To play Goku... and just gone fun from there. James Masters would be a very good Piccalo if it was a loyal story telling. Tom Cruise is working well in the comic, ad libbing roles.. maybe throw him in, age him.. and we got a master Roshi. Krillin erm.. not so easy to cast..maybe Shia Labouf? Gohan.. erm.. ooo.. not a clue. lol.
and yeah.. I could cast for hours really...

Worst movie ever...that is tough. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III is up there, Ferngully: The Last Rainforest was pretty awful. Showgirls was really bad, anything Paris Hilton has been in should rank just for that reason alone.

Hey now...your talking about my childhood there...Fern Gulley was for the win...
That said...I would like to nominate DBZ: Evolution...for one, single, inescapable reason...
IT WASN'T F'NG DBZ!!!How they managed to completely fail to communicate a story as simple as Dragonball is beyond my capacity for thought...seriously, my fist revolted against the tyranny of my brain after I decided to watch that sorry excuse for a movie...

However, as horrible as it was, there is another...far far worse movie...
I had hardly expected failure of such magnitude could exist...but despite the warnings of Admiral Ackbar...I walked right into the trap of...
Horton Hears a Who
If your eyes haven't ruptured after watching any scene from that film, then I envy your endurance friend...I truly do...

I used to think the same way, but I did see very lately this movie (yesterday I downloaded it, and going to purchase it in collector dvd edition, after it was being mentionned at class, as we study ancient greece so our teacher mentionned it several times thinking it would appear more familiar).
And I can tell, honestly, that it is one of WORST MISTAKES I EVER DID.....to have
avoided watching it when it came in theaters!!! (and people in my class at the time were telling me: "you are doing a *BIG* mistake to avoid it")
I am all aware of controversy, but heck...this movie is pure awesomeness, that aside!!!!
I *KNOW* I am bumping an old topic.
*grin*

Very little factually about it ? History rewritten ? well of course, it's Hollywood
I don think 300 rates as the worst movie, certainly not a great movie but there are many far worse, just watch Beowulf...... actually dont watch it, you will regret wasting 1.5 hours of your life
I think many movies are simply over hyped pre-release so we expect to much of them. If we watched them on a Sunday afternoon on TV they wouldn't seem so bad, but hearing all the advertising bumf and paying to see them in a cinema makes the disappointment x10

Yep your right, Cloverfield is a remake of a Japanese film, I always get them mixed up
