Have the Caps become the new Sharks? I don't recall the Sharks doing anything as embarrasing as losing a 3-1, opening round, 1 seed, series lead. They've been outclassed by an 8 seed before, but I don't think they've ever had that big of a lead and lost it. I don't follow hockey that closely, so please enlighten me if I'm wrong.

caps didnt choke...first of all even habs noticed, and are pissed that the caps didnt come to play. they rely to much on Ovechkin and Backstrom, even semin couldnt score, cause halak is a butterfly goalie, semin shoots low. it isnt a matter of choking, its a matter of playing like a team, which they didnt, which i dont agree about, tbh i would have taken ovechkin out of game 7, see what would happen. but now since its the offseason the caps can now think about what they are gonna do with semin, and resign all their UFAs/RFAs and let go of players they dont want, tbh im dissapointed in how they played, but they are clearly up to something.

no choking, they didnt come to play, ive watched the caps since 1998, i know how they play, this years playoffs they didnt seem themselves, and relying on backstrom and ovechkin for offense is a no-no, and green is quite possibly right now one of the elite offensive defensemen, Off-def-men are NOT required or forced to block shots, thats why you should always pair them with a defensive d-man.

chara is huge, and is a def-dmen, weber is good though, mike green has a nice wrist shot, accurate. Weber has an amazing slap-shot (no al mcinnis though) and it gets the powerplay done.

The pens made the powerplay look so easy tonight 4 for 4 with a 6-3 win in game one
