I'm considering trying it..
Funny thing about my team, I have no Argentinian player...neither main nor substitute.
Blame it on Maradonna!

Re: Official TGW World Cup 2010 Fantasy Football
I've got a team made up of players that are unlikely to go through to the next round it seems.
Well Ghana at least and possibly Denmark, I'll lose my defence in that case xD

Re: Official TGW World Cup 2010 Fantasy Football
Hmm that's why I put Taiwo (DF from Nigeria) as a substitute because Nigeria success is uncertain....the rest I got should go thru. (well, there's still the big "?" about whether Côte Ivoire or Portugal will get thru)
I'm careful about it..

there is probably 2 transfers per round once the competition gets into gear...so as long as you have a reliable basis or team skeleton from round one - you should be ok
The world cup is always a lottery since its over such a short period of time - form is not as reflective in WC as it is over a league season

they will choke again - for all the talent they have - personally I hope they do do well but I just cannot see it happening

Re: Official TGW World Cup 2010 Fantasy Football
I have a friend who follows the Argentinian team as he is from Argentina and his personal position on it is that to play for the national team is not a case of what skill you have but of who you know, that's one of their biggest flaws but looking at the group set ups it's only the one group where you have to wonder who will be going through and that's not Argentina's group.

Re: Official TGW World Cup 2010 Fantasy Football
Hmm I thought Argentina would be first, and battle for 2nd would be between Nigeria and South korea, with Greece coming fourth.
However Greece could very well do better than SK, but I doubt better than Nigeria. But maybe I overestimate both Argentina & Nigeria..
Damn...
That's impressive..5th june
Netherlands 6-1 Hungary.
