I remember a vote once, most players in 2005-2007 found the game through SG related forums, sites and searching the web for SG games.
Due to this cascade of cancellings, as Stargate franchise is dropping down, old "habits" have to be changed as now you won't have an endless flow of motivated people who would be more perseverant than new generation is. (ie: see the massers as Goa'ulds and feeling like getting slowly but surely into the game to take revenge eventually like the stargate teams did in SG1, or any other roleplay feeling towards a random massing that newcomers might have had in past; that now due to lack of game identity and people joining just to use it as a time spending thing and not as a stargate game to enjoy, people won't have anymore this will to play and just quit). You don't have the same will to play a game using a franchise you're fan of, and just a random game you joined as someone told you it was a good game to play, but not having the fan factor.
