There may have been no malice, but RoKeT did it for the lolz and the drama, he said that himself. He didnt do it for those that got scammed he did it for himself and the attention, giving back to those that got scammed is him trying to justify his actions.

I'm not angry, i'm annoyed that someone can be such a dumbass and still think he's done the only right thing. The problem with RoKeT besides scamming someone is his attitude about it on this forum.

Hellboy was a scammer, I fought long and hard to get him out of this place and I succeeded without having to lower myself to becoming a scammer. Ok so no-one got their resources back but all his accounts got banned.

Scamming a scammer. It has it's benefits, but also earns you the title of scammer.

trouble is, roket is now labelled a scammer and is blacklisted. this won't however stop people trading with him due to the nature of his scamming. sadly jason's rules and the game mechanics make the public trades and moreso the blacklisted traders section redundent because all the mods are doing is highlighting people for actually not doing anything wrong game-wise.
either it is wrong or it isn't, you can't allow scamming and then "blacklist" people
i rarely check that section and only trade either on my terms or with people i recognise

Give the scammers a taste of their own medicine, I feel it is wrong to scam a player, theres no way around it...however, once a person stoops to scamming, I wouldnt consider them a "player" and I would consider them a "scammer". We all have different opinions and my personal opinion is that, as long as you arent making a profit off it, good for you, if people scammed the scammers more often, they wouldnt still be around.

I was scammed a few years back by Technoboy I think. Although being scammed sucks my first reaction wasn't to attempt to scam anyone else for resources back, you live and you learn.

I agree with what Angnoch went on about sort of, you have one reputation that you can't change, yeah you can say you were scamming for the good of it but I just read this topic as, "I wanted an excuse to scam someone so I figured no-one would mind if I scammed a scammer"

Theres a fine line between the two, Roket went into the "morally grey" area, do I condone the scamming? No. However what's done is done and at the end of the day in my eyes maybe I would not want to see it done again, but are more wrongs righted now? Or are just more wrongs made? IF there were any positive effects from him doing it, I support his decision...however like I said I do not condone it, nor would I say do it again, else it become a habit which then in essence will turn him into the scammer. It was one time, he had his fun...got things done, according to him planning to reimburse some that was lost from various players. I think we are looking at a typical robin hood case, stealing is wrong, but what about stealing for the ones that got robbed, from the robber? Is that so wrong, or is that right? Like I said its morally grey and I dont think you can sit there and say its 100% wrong, or 100% right.

Wrong again Clarkster again I entertained the drama it would cause.... Common how dumb would I be if I didn't think it would, but in the end VK got repaid and I'm not sure where to go from here everyone says keep it or give it away he deserved it but I feel bad I think I may give the account back now that I see no one else coming forward and VK seems like the only "legitimate" request but not sure yet as I'm surprised no one else came forward

I say sell the account on your terms, give half to charity and the other half back to fenrir

Rokets actions have gotten him a black listed trader status but have also gotten him respect and praise from many.
Case closed.

Now let this thread return to topic: what to do with the resources gained. Roket's original suggestion sounds best to me: most resources returned to those that can prove they were scammed before this thread, rest returned to fenrir. The sooner this matter is settled, the better.
