Sure, I'd be mad too if this happened to me, I'd also figure that while the problem was being fixed, mistakes might be made. I just wouldn't expect to see someone like yourself say such things seemingly toward the game and admins. Maybe I unfairly expected moderators to not let emotions have any effect on things they post. =| Didn't mean to take a pick at you.

I said that out of anger, because I hate when innocent people suffer with these, who play unfair. Not only that... it happened twice in bigger numbers in last two weeks. Nobody is perfect...ever heard of that? Or do you think moderators are lump of emotionless beings? Some people never stop to amaze me with their biased and narrow-minded thoughts.

We all do mistakes, and I did apologize for my outburst.

i did not rollback. i just updated what i removed from account after looking at all the trade 'reclaims' so that it matched what was reclaimed.
i think in total it was about 30mil units; 20k turn; 170 or 270 bil naq.... i initially took only 17bil; 3mil units; 5k turns.... so this most recent update removed 27mil miner; 15k turn; 150 or 250 bil naq if i remember correctly.
what - exactly - do yo uthink you are 'short' based on what you had before using the trade refund thing?
(i have too many email - pls discuss here.. i dont mind being public since everything else on this issue is....including accusations on you by others )

(ps i am using laptop and memory now... my figures -especially naq - may be off but you know what you lost, and i have it recorded on my main computer...)

last note: since mentioned by name, Su goods reclaimed, now un-reclaimed....there were some there that i had not undone since the timing was so close to 'present' ... an exception to the norm but fixed now regardless.....

How far did you roll me back? I have e-mailed you the bug when it happened to my account and have a SS of my number of units which is now 2 million less, so unless you rolled me back a decent distance, i'm rather confused. Look through your e-mails for "Admin@MiddleEarthWars.com and you will see my notes sent to you.

Sorry completely overlooked that you responded to me. Lol, anywho it's roughly two million units. Two reasons why I know this is true, one, over a week ago I contempted selling my account and decided not too, it was the account with well over 23 million units. This can also be proven by looking here http://herebegames.com/StarGateWars/vie ... hp?t=51454 that is exactuly seven days old from today. Thank you forum for looking at this as well as the response to my email you sent me.

Yes I admit I had clicked on all but one before I figured something was up...

The Game Update update list said that we had 12 hours to reclaim them so I figured a new update had messed up those trades and in order to reclaim them I had to click on it...

When I saw that I had a trade that was going to be returned for 628,794,957,666 Naquadah I knew something was up so I left that one and checked the forums.

Within about 30 minutes that last trade was listed as Declined. AutoReturn: Aug 23, 2006 and the forums listed the problem as resovled and the damage undone.

Anyone that knows me well enough knows that I would not knowingly exploit a bug and I stand by that.

It's funny how all the people who abused this bug/exploit are the ones whining when the admin must revert their account to a previous date to make it fair to everyone else.

ITS YOUR FAULT HE HAD TO DO THIS. IF YOU WOULDNT HAVE FOOLED AROUND WITH THE BUG, IT WOULDNT HAVE HAPPENED.

This admin is great compared to other online gaming admins - he works with the players to fix any problems quickly. Treat him like gold cuz he's worth it.

EDIT: I got a good chuckle out of Teal'auc (a mod) flying off the handle and yelling - a role model for the forums acting inappropriately in the same forums he governs. Also a pretty good chuckle outta the big players who lost anywhere from 500k-3 mil uu. Sure, it wasn't fair for you to lose those resources, but it wasn't fair for you to use the bug in the first place. I hope everyone who whined in this thread about losing their resources gets hit by the good ol' karma bus because they felt like whining when they had gotten into this situation by abusing/exploiting a bug.

well as far as i know the 3 omegans involved in the incident did not purposelly exploit this bug..it was just bad luck..and i would just hope to clearify it to any1 about what thoughts they may have on omega or any of the members of the CoP as of now...they are not exploiters nor cheats and never shall be

?Que? What are you getting at? I don't understand your post, but uh, if you logged into your own account and it went into someone elses, yes, I'd log right out. Not go around in the broker section and play around with reclaiming the goods or untraining some units or anything like that. Alot of people logged into the bug when the server was getting upgraded. Doesn't mean they all got flagged. Only the people who screwed around with the bug went through all this stuff. Sometimes strange things happen, especially during updates to games. Normally during that time it's not wise to go borking around with something, especially when anyone with a positive IQ can tell it's not how things are supposed to be. Can you really tell me with a straight face that you thought it was a feature of the game? And that you being allowed to reclaim trades from up to 2 months ago was normal?

Summary: This bug/exploit is fixed and its been dealt with by the game admins. I found it hilarious that the people who played around with the bug got so upset because while trying to fix THEIR mistakes, the admin rolled some accounts back too far. They played with fire, fine. They got burnt, fine. They then yelled/cried at the admin for screwing all of their hard work up. That's funny and made me laugh. Geesh people, lizzighten up.
