Which I find very funny, considering the fact that the only reason any of us come in here to defend each others alliances, is because of ingame affiliations.

The sad fact is, that Admin did decide it was not cheating. Dont misunderstand what I've said. I'm not defending it, I'm just reminding you. Like yourself, I have NEVER taken adavantage of any bugs/loopholes in this game. I too lost a level when I reported this bug.

Ask yourself this homer, if you had NO RELATION AT ALL with these guys, honestly what would you have felt? You work hard..realise the same bug and report it and find that someone actually took advantage of a loophole. Everyone KNEW that admin didn't add that to GIVE people free naq. It was totally unintended, his mistake of course. But isn't it our duty to report something that goes against the very spirit of the game.

I will tell you this. I do care what happens and who exploits and who cheats. I don't talk about it but it's a fact I have contributed more to this game's development than anyone bar admin himself. So in some weird sense I do feel responsible and consider this partly my game, (yeah weird I know). And it ABSOLUTELY pS ME OFF, when people exploit or cheat. And I assure you of this, I do not make claims. I will call someone a cheater if I have seen adequate proof, no matter who they are. Many Omegans do not know this but I actually had them checked out whether they were cheating or not. It is one of the 'secret' admission tests to Omega.

Now I admit sometimes I say things calculatingly just to rile some people up. But I will never tolerate cheats out of my alliance and in.

etl, about the exploit, like admin said it was a valid tactic that the game provided for that week,

and what about the ascended super weapon? an update created to be a weapon, but ppl (cops) are using it has new ascensions to boost their accounts, that tactic is valid cause the game provides it, but it wasnt intended to be used like that, isnt it an exploitation aswell??

about crimson i know it was u that talked to admin, it was after he massed me and sabbed me, when sabbs did a big dmg yet, and u massed my ms, then i pmd u saying i was told he cheated

so if he bought the naq with $ why did admin took away 2 spy lvls, weapons and some uu's from him??

about nebulator, yes i liked the guy, me and him had peace since the begining of the game, but i didnt knew he cheated, so that like changed when i found out

about the personal attacks, im sry to hear those happen, i personally am agaisnt any personal attacks, and i hold no grudge on anyone in this game, maybe i didnt like some attitudes or words from someone in the past, ofc that happens, but still no need to hold a grudge or insult anyone, its just a game afterall, its suppose to be fun

admin removed them b/c I asked him to. It was fair. the naq was PROVEN dodgy naq. I will not have an Omegan tainted. And no it wasn't a valid tactic. It was a loophole which ADMIN never intended to happen. There was no secret plan of his to include it and let people figure it out. He simply made a mistake which those guys took advantage of.

I dont mean to be honest but doesnt this whole topic go against what it was started for?

I have asked myself, and though you may not like my answer, it is the truth. I would feel the same way I felt when we had the UU to Lifer fiasco. It wanst intended, and people recovered losses, but I still felt that it was a bug/loophole that was exploited. It granted people an unknown adavantage and the loophole was closed. The response of "Fortune favors the quick" never sat well with me. So, I guess my answer is this, its unfortunate, not a tactic I would use, and just because admin declared it not cheating doesnt make it "right" in my eyes, but, never the less, it has been deemed so by the powers that be.

The biggest problem you will always encounter with this statement will almost always boil down to Juan. Juan was a cheat. Juan was proven to be a cheat several times, and yet when he left, he sold his assets to an Omega member (dont remember who at this point, Reborn?) No matter how its explained, that will always have the stink of being tainted. Its part of the stink that follows/has followed Metal and Ben. They had dealings with him at one point, and there are those who are quick to point this out as evidence that they themselves are cheating, fairness would dictate that if that is the case, anyone who dealt with him was guilty, ANYONE, regardless of rank or alliance.

Like I said, may not like the answer, but its an honest one.

So well you agree with me. It is exploiting a bug. And you've been around long enough to know that Admin 'backs out of those truly delicate pronouncements'. You know what really bugged me about it. I read their msn logs to each other and they even discussed whether it was cheating or just exploiting a bug..it didn't matter to them. They were just very pleased with themselves for finding a way to get ahead. The fact they were doubtful what it was and still did it compounds their guilt. I actually would have even let them off if they had reported it, even if it ended up with them keeping the stuff they got. It truly disappointed me b/c I started chatting to opti etc before that and they weren't bad guys.


EDIT: Regards JUAN, I explained somewhere. Believe me there was ALOT of discussion among the High Council regarding corkscrew. It came down to some simple factors. I had proof that JUAN cheated the first time he was around. He then quit and returned and this is where it all goes awry. I know that quite a few people raided and traded for him, cork being the biggest, so in a sense those units were actually cork's. And while I suspected he cheated I had no proof. That itself was enough to keep JUAN himself out of Omega..he applied a few times. But the final straw is that cork himself was not a cheat. At least be happy that we, that is JAKE got rid of JUAN. And of course here also we come to the hypocrisy of metal etc. You know he used to message me loads about how JUAN is cheating, yet had no qualms working with him on the 'caspian' project'.

the below highlighted in the quotes is when RL got brought into this conversation. any further than that, was added by people who shouldn't have, yes. but the person who put that there, is at fault for bringing RL in.

off this quote, i would then suggest to my alliance to leave CoP. because of Dishonourable actions by some of the members of the other parts of CoP. and you yourself have been shown to take part in such behavior on some level.

honestly, the reputation of good players has been tarnished by honouring their word to back up allies of the CoP. they keep their honor by standing by those they promised they would, but in return have it tarnished by the actions of a few. there's not much justice in that. i believe i am not alone in thinking that the act of random massing is not an honourable tactic, but many in omega practiced this, and probably will continue to do so. what does this say of those who hold honor in more regard that are allied to them?

i think you need to rethink your definition of honor before you try to bring it back to the game, cause you let your members proceed without it, and expect others to uphold that which you don't.

I play Gears of War online very often, and not even the 10 year old cry babies cry and moan as much as this.

Games are created for one thing; fun. Plus, it's an RPG, which further puts real life out of this. People in a ROLE PLAYING GAME aren't the people they are in real life. Plus it's a game of self advancement, be the best. Sure, make a few friends a long the way. But for god sake stop insulting people who you don't have the slightest incling about.

Yes people will cheat. People cheat in every game. The person who owns the game does what he feels is nessessary on this matter, so we should all just shut up and then him deal with the administration of a game.

I can understand this in the colloseum. People role play there and have their fun wars and so on. That's the role playing part. General is the area where we all talk friendly. What you know about people from ingame and the colloseum have no bearing here.

Everyone, stop **Filtered** and moaning and just enjoy the game. After all, that's all it is. There is a real world out there too, where this has no hold.

Also, people need to stop bringing real life into this. If you're going to moan at people because they've ticked you off because your tolerance is low because you're in constant pain, go lay down. You have no right to moan like that if you're the one putting yourself in pain by just being here.

Look up and realise that this is a game please, and just all get along.
