lol, i love it when people make excuses when they can't think of anything to refute my comments. I'll just ignore you now Judo, you have nothing to say on the matter, you've been owned by logic.

Ok, let me put it simply so you can understand:

Tok'Ra has multiple forum accounts.

He's been repeatedly banned in the past for breaking all the forum rules.

He came back yet again with yet another account to evade his banning.

He then started to repeat his previous bad behaviour by trying to incite people against the staff.

Forum decided enough is enough and banned him completely.

99.9999999% of the forum cheered Forum for doing the right thing.

Judochop, J.S and Smoosh attempted to reverse the banning with claims of freedom of speech suppression, abuse of power and various other accusations which the majority of the forum appear to be laughing about because these arguements are so ridiculous that laughing is the obvious response.

Pretty sure he's been banned a lot more than once, but tbh i haven't read the mod forum in a while and i admit i tried my best to avoid reading anything he posted, lol.

Multiple forum accounts is fine, however multiple accounts to get around a banning is not.

I can't comment on what he was blamed for, but i know for a fact as soon as the ascended changes came out he was whining that they were helping the big players and effectively accusing Forum of making changes to the ascended server just to help out the big players. if that was true then i guess i'm a big player too coz it sure as hell helped me, lol.

Other people behaving badly doesn't excuse the baddest of them all living up to his reputation and proving that a leopard doesn't change it's spots.

As i have said several times, he deserved it, hell, he begged for it to tell the truth. Well, it happened, a bit late for my and some other people's liking, but he got what he was asking for.

You can bicker for eternity if you want on why he was deleted/banned. You can bicker even longer then that if you want on if what he did was good or bad. But in the end, he is still gone and there is no changing that.

So can we all stop bickering about if he was good or bad? Can we stop trying to get Forum to reverse what he did?

1) "i cannot take criticism" -- my god. its all i do at times. i take so much it wears me down. don't beleive me? ask 10 people about any update on the game/forum/my comments/my spelling/etc etc
2) i did not ban. i removed/eliminated. in effect took out the garbage, without doing any recycling... (yes, i know its bad in todays world, but in my defence, the forum user in question did not separate...)
3) i do not act often in the manner. i saw a person trying to shout fire in a theater... i do not believe there was a fire, even if the seats were not the most comfortable... while i try to fix the seating, i do not want anyone shouting 'fire'... again - in my mind - thats what i fixed. (and god do i love analogies).
4) i believe in spock. the good of the many outweigh the good of the one. dont' be that one who tries to bring down the ship.... point out its flaws - sure, you are welcome. try to bring it down - no. this is not about rules, about technicalities, about process....its all about intent. and the intent was bad. and removed.

anyway - thats all i have to say about that....

Certain people are allowed to do what they want ingame, surely people should be able to say what they want in forums providing it's inoffensive...

The problem lies within the game if all was good and fair there then there probably wouldn't be any derogatory posts by most people...But no!!! it's a forum problem...

Most things ingame are claimed to be done through boredom, why not make life more exciting for them make it harder and make it more fun

Perhaps you can tell us all what WOULD justify a banning in your opinion? I mean, obviously you don't think that breaking every single rule isn't enough...

You might aswell say "he's my mate" as a reason for not banning him, because that at least i could understand.

You should only care about Michel Bauwens PHD if you care about this particular community. He has spent years studying what makes an online community work and what makes it fall apart. He may have no life, his PHD may not be particularly useful to the world at large but it IS useful to us here at SGW.

Forum said himself it wasn't even about the rules, I think a lot of the rules are silly anyway, but even so, it wasn't about the rules.

I wouldn't call tok`ra a mate, I talk to him occasionally, but that's not what this is about. I'd even think it bad for the community if Nuto got banned for doing as Tok`ra has and god knows I'm not really a fan of her.

I realise you've had a bad run and Tok`ra is a pain in the ass, you snapped and maybe any one of us would have done so in the same position. I probably would have as well, but that doesn't make it right and it certainly doesn't make it in the best interests of the community. The good of the many is what I am concerned for as well, I've read a lot on this, it is this kind of thing that is bad for the many.

Forum has the right to do with his forum what he thinks is right.
Tok'ra has made his good posts i agree with that but i also believe the intentions were bad. Forum apperently thought the same and got rid of the as he calls it trash that cant be recycled. Its up to him what to do with it and up to you/us to live with it. Case closed tok'ra suspended forum explained why. Therefor topic locked
