hmm for you i'd say ghost in the shell (the new eps have AWESOME art and the story like is really good and there is a taste of mech (its not a full mech one though))

hmm for a funny anime go with genshiken (its = with lucky star for me  ) but the art isnt fantastic (still good though ;) if you meant newer as in newer looking art :? cos the anime is fairly recent) for an anime with good art i like Kanon (but its a romance/drama, very well done though... but with that list up there dont think you'll love it  )

hehe sorry couldnt help myself

yeah 5cm per second was good, awesome art! hehe, if you liked that you'll like Kanon (kanon comes highly recommended  its so well done in my opinion) and you should have put GITS on your list!

If you want romance and drama the read or watch nana(as far as im concerned, the manga was better then the anime)

The nana manga is now NO. 1 on my manga list and is gonna stay there for along long time. =p but the anime isnt even in my top ten. it just didnt light the same spark that the manga did for me, cuz it seemed to rushed and limited...they left alot of important stuff out. >.<

there are different versions of that site to, if you are not US. I know they have a Canadian one as well.

hollow, you already know of it.

Ghost In The Shell: Solid State Society.
its based off the stand alone complex
(so the better looking major, *drools*)

aparrently it takes place after 2nd Gig. Im going to be getting ahold of it soon enough, just when exactly, i dont know.

SPOILER ALERT: i havent read the page myself, but im lead to beleive the storyline is shed on this page.
