Having trouble accepting members

i have created a new alliance (5 days ago) and am having trouble accepting new members into the alliance i have sent out countless invites and when ppl accept the invite they are not being accepted into the alliance why??
can someone tell me what i am doing wrong.

first, did they really accept? If so, perhaps the bugs section is the right way to go :S

my inbox was full of acceptances from ppl trying to join but i am the only one still in the alliance.
