It could be that this is a stupid question, but what is the best way to increase your UP? And is it possible that your UP planets only can give certain amount of UP, because I should have about 36K UP but a only have 34K.

Note: each UP/def/att/cov planet can match 50% 'natural' power, to a max of the numbers below.

And I think best way to increase your UP is to spend your naq on natural unit production, as planets can be lost Also, a loyal officer or two helps, if you can afford them

UP planets will only give 1/2 of your raw.

So, you make 20k UP Raw, each of your UP planets will only give you 10k.

Just keep plugging away at the raw and make sure your UP planets are 1/2 of what your raw is.

And officers always help as Lucky said. They give 1/2 of the % in UP of what you give them in naq. So if you give them 30% of your Naq, you'll get 15% from their total UP (not raw.) Downside, you lose 30% of your naq (the officers do not lose any of their UP.)

So, you make 3B, 1B would go to officers at 30%. An officer has 100k UP, they give you 15k of it that adds to your total.

A CO circle with 2 other similar sized players will overcome all income loses as well.

not necesarily
for a set income the up needs to be above a minimal level else people are loosing out.
and that loss can be very large indeed
