Still can't manage to find any post older than 2007 with search option, quite annoying when you look up for old complete sgw calculators or historical posts/references.

Are you sure you are using it correctly? I searched for your posts and found the earliest to be:
Posted: 11 Jan 2006 12:40
When we moved over to phpbb 3.0, as far as I know, the entire forum didn't move with us due to the time it would have taken, effort, etc. Some sections got more of their history than others, again, as far as I know.
At any rate, I just searched for your old posts and came up with one from 2006.

Can you be more descriptive? Right now no one is giving steps about what they did that didn't work.
You are trying to find your old posts? I found your oldest here at "Posted: 23 Jun 2005 13:10"? What do you mean when you say searching manually?

i mean i actually had to go to the place in the archive where my post was and look through a number of long threads to find it
when i click search posts i put in the part im searching for and it doesn't come up
only when i actually go there and look for it manually can i find it
so basically when i click the search posts it only ever comes up with recent ones
edit: just so you know that wasn't my first post
my first post is missing

This is what I did to find your oldest post here.
1.) click on search
2.) enter "hidden" into the "Search for author:" field
3.) in the "Search in forums:" area I clicked on "General" while holding down the shift key
4.) while holding the shift key I scrolled down the entire menu ("Search in forums:" selection area) using the scroll bar and clicked on "TGW Annual Awards"; you should notice that all areas are now selected
5.) I made no changers to searching for "posts" or "threads"
6.) click on the "Search" button
7.) scroll down to the bottom of the page
8.) click on "277" in the "go to page" selection area
9.) scroll down to the bottom of the page: to the last post
10.) click on "Jump to post" beside the name "hidden"
11.) you should see it take you to the post, link below
viewtopic.php?f=103&t=3808&p=36343#p36343Using this method I didn't have to go through hundreds of posts. I was taken to all of yours, and narrowed it down myself.
You said,
when i click search posts i put in the part im searching for and it doesn't come up
what are you entering in the search fields? what order are you entering them in? I need to know the details if I can try to help.
I'm not sure what is wrong with searching for you and Apophis in looking for old posts/topics, but it works for me. If you have time to include more details it would be helpful.

That explains it. >_<
And Jim.. I have no idea what you're asking.
You can find that just by looking for "Motherships" "Apophis".

Edit: Actually, you can't. That's interesting.. and I apologise for not understanding at first.

no it isn't
click on a persons name in the forum and it will have various information like how many posts they made per day
when click search users posts
then in the top right it will it will have a place to type what your searching for and you wont be able to find any old posts
