yeah pretty much,i dont knwo about mothership but most probably,but i do know its for strike/defence/spy

It's just the total combined stats of the entire alliance as a whole.

Well at least it affects in the longer run of not straightly. I mean that with high UP with every in an alliance gets alliance far as they get loads of naq. and men and so on.
