Ok, i'm sorry if this has been covered before in some old topic but I have been playing for 2 years and I think this is the first topic I have created so give me a break if its been done before.

Ok so last night I fell asleep as you might expect...but something odd happened, I had a dream about SGW, like I said earlier I have been playing for 2 years and this is my first dream of SGW. It was quite an odd experience, I actually pictured myself on my MS crusing around attacking ppl and such, and at one stage I think I attacked a bath tub that was floating around in space (this stuff seems to always make sense in the dream, but when you wake up and look back you always go WTH? lol).

So anyway, I was just curious, has anyone else had a dream about SGW and if so what was it about?

I used to constantly dream about this game. Sometimes I would dream about chatting to people about the game on msn, other times I would be going to war.

I remember my most memorable one being with GhostyGoo, Diamond Dust, Lord Jared and The Saz.

We were all sitting around talking about crap and then all the sudden we all burst into song singing "I want to be a foetus" by Cursor Minor. We all linked arms and started kicking our legs up in the air with perfect unison, like we were in a Broadway production. I woke up laughing my head off.

Many more than that though. In my head I have met most famous players.

So no, you're not weird. Maybe drunk, but not weird.

I remember having a dream about someone massing my arse, and was thinking that i need to get this guy back. I woke still thinking i had been massed, getting ready to kick some arse, so looked in my attack logs and nothing was there.

What a dumb ass.

No, But I played Gears of War on XBL for 24hours non stop and when I was sleeping I was dreaming that I was still playing, and was getting annoyed.

Not quite dream, but that state between dreaming and awareness.

Thats where story ideas pop in my head and i don't think in terms of user/player/game/msn, but rather in terms of say Janassaries being literally Janassaries in a futuristic context - The eastern influence merged with science fiction. Likewise Omega being more suits and sophisticated type of warriors in the high rise buildings while DDE in rampant gangs in the streets causing trouble.

So less about the game itself/literal physical reality of playing a game and more about the story and background or 'fluff', taking inspiration from the image of the players and creating an archetype but not taking the players themselves.

Morning comes and i'll write down the fading glimpses of said imagination and when i'm in the mood, will go through a list of things written and work out what to group with what or to expand on and what not to use.
