I was bored at work so thought i'd make this :D

Firstly, to get to chat, click the link on the Stargatewars page

as shown here:

http://www3.webng.com/quickshot84/java%20tute/sgw%20window.jpg

Once connected you should now been on a screen that looks like this:

http://www3.webng.com/quickshot84/java%20tute/opening%20window.jpg

For some reason, you will auto join and be in the Tradeserver room, but to get to the Stargatewars general chat room, click the button that says #stargatewars, as circled here:

http://www3.webng.com/quickshot84/java%20tute/sgw%20circled.jpg

you will now be in the #stargatewars room, as shown here:

http://www3.webng.com/quickshot84/java%20tute/in%20sgw%20chat.jpg

the channels that java now autojoins for you are:
#stargatewars - for all general chat
#theplace - for admin meetings
#tradeserver - where all trades for naq/uu/at/dmu can be made

Throughout this guide, you may see commands such as:
/ns
/cs
ns stands for nickserv, which is the service on irc that deals with all nickname related commands
cs stands for chanserv, which is the service on irc that deals with all channel related commands

any passwords that you decided to use are encrypted with MD5 within the server and cannot be accessed by anyone
They can only be recovered by an ircop sending an email from the server with will contain it, and be only be sent to the email address you specify when registering your nickname

Some of the commands java users can do:
This is not a full list, but rather the bare minimum that users who want to just use java should know

Also to start off with, a good idea when you are new with irc and the java interface and registering, is to do all your commands in the "Status" window
its located here:
http://www3.webng.com/quickshot84/java%20tute/statuswindow.jpg

Register your nickname with the server:
Syntax: REGISTER password email
ie: /ns register mypasswordhere quickshot84@myemailhere.com

as stated above, show a list of all channels:
Syntax: list
ie: /list

Join another channel:
syntax: join #channelname
ie: /join #quickshot84

register a channel, if you're a aOP (@) on that channel:
Syntax: REGISTER channel password description
ie: /cs register #quickshot84 mychannelpassword this is my channel

whois a user:
syntax whois name
ie: /whois quickshot84
This shows information such as the users ident, what channels they are in and also idle time

Also when in a channel such as #stargatewars, you are also able to right click on user's names in the bar on the right hand side.
This then gives more options for you to choose from.

Some of these commands may be visible to you in your current screen, otherwise you'll be able to see the result of them in your "Status" screen

Please if there are any typo's/errors in this, and ill fix it up asap
