limit ascension bonuses

as of right now if u can ascend and keep ascending u keep gaining 5% each time this will lead to a few players having a huge advantage i know that each time u ascend it gets more costly but i still think there should be a limit. i think when u have ascended 5 times u stop getting more bonuses u can keep ascending to boost your ascended account but u stop getting worldly bonuses. since there will be no resets it is only a matter of time before people get huge boost which will make it impossible for new people to crack the top 100.

good point. i agree. the top 100 is already crowded with ascended people and it is hard for people like me who have not been playing as long as others to get in the top 100.

think of it this way, if people were not getting worldly bonuses, there would be a point where it wouldn't be worth it to re-ascend anymore. thus players would stop re-ascending completely, then you have the post-ascended players just sitting in the top 100 anyway.
as it is now. these players still give at least a few turns to the freshly top 110 ranks.
though i agree theres got to be a better way to slow some of them down.
maybe if after 5 times, they can't use transfers at all...
that would be funny...

It's stupid how fast they are ascending, abusing PPT and transfering, and then reascending again, repeat the cycle. Apparently someone has already ascended 4 times already.

Agreed, but just because some people abuse it, doesn't mean you should make it harder for the people who don't...
And by the way, is that meant to be "DIRKA" instead of "DAKKA" in your location?

I proposed similar for all ascended players, but now watch as those who can't imagine playing without being able to abuse this reward from Forum all jump down our throats on this thread.
People have been complaining about the weapons costing 3 times as much for ascended players so perhaps this would be a better avenue for slowing them down, increase the cost for each time they ascend. At least then they couldn't complain that they're loosing what they paid for with SS, etc...

Doesn't it get progressively harder to Ascend each time anyway? Maybe that should just be steepened a little bit. Perhaps the requirements should increase by 50% each time?

The reason I proposed the weapons cost increase is that it would slow them down from the word go, upping the ascention cost would only add one hurdle, the weapons would make it an uphill race.

ive posted this somewhere else, but i dont really mind with the ascended players getting stronger but my main worry is that soon the strongest players (ascended) will fill the top 100 so the non ascended players wont be able to get into the top 100 to gain the G&R points that are needed for the ascension, so i proposed that it is the top 100 + the top 100 unascended players so there will always be 100 unascended getting G&R points.

I don't want to be funny but this is a game. All games have winners and lossers, people that are good at it and people that aren't so good.
Ascension is a reward for those that are good at this game. Yes, I am sure that there are those that cheat of take shortcuts, but for the most part those that have ascended worked hard to do so. It makes the ascended server that much more interesting since you know that you are playing against the best and getting somewhere is a real achievement.
Changing things so that more and more peolpe can ascend without having to earn it like those that have already ascended not only takes some of the challenge out of the ascended server but it also rewards players that don't actually deserve it.
One thing I don't like about the world we now live in is the attitude that everyone, no matter how good or bad, deserves prices and rewards, sometimes simply for taking part. I'm sorry, but rewards should be earned, you don't deserve one simply for existing.

However a few changes could be made...e.g.. Top 150 or top 200 players get glory points. Or we could have a different top 100 for the ascended players altogether.

People are already complaining that some are reascending to quickly. Increasing the number of places that give you G&R points just makes things worse since while it is easier for people to ascend it is also easier for people to reascend.
What should be done is that reascension should be made more difficult. I have no idea how to do this without having ascended players filling up the top ranks again though. I'll take my hat off to anyone who can come up with an idea to make reascension more difficult for those that want it whithout punishing those who have ascended but don't want to ascend again or those that have yet to ascend.

All that being said I have just come up with an idea that might work.
Ascension is very taxing on the body and while ascending once can easily be managed, multiple ascensions however, require technological assistance to ensure that the body survives to leave a shell.
As I'm sure most people know by now, ascended races don't have a race unique tech. Forum could use this open slot for this new technological life support to enable multiple ascensions. !st ascension stays the same, but for the second you need level 1 for live support, third ascension needs level 2, etc. Starting cost could perhaps be 500 mil or 1 bil, doubling for every level there after.
Makes reascension more difficult but players that don't want to reascend don't have to spend a cent on it.
Any comments?

maybe make it so that every time you ascend you have to acceve a higher rank to ascend again ie. to ascend the first time you have to acceve atleast rank 100 then to accend again you have to acceve at least rank 50 and so on...
