SS Transfers

If this hasnt been mentionned before Im amazed.
When you want to transfer naq, UU etc to someone it shouldnt have to be instant, the person recieving whatever it is should have to accept the transfer before they actually get it. I bring this up because of the different time zones and the unfortuante condition that affects many people called 'sleep'.
If someone transfers from one time zone to another someone may be asleep and any naq transfered is left open to being stolen. The transfer should be stored somewhere safe on the server and a message sent to the reciever who then has to click a button/send something or whatever to have the transaction completed.

Nice idea, I just wonder how long it will take people to realise that they could use this as an unlimited bank.
Oops, guess they will know immediately now.
I know this is sometimes a hassel, but before long people would just send Naq to their officers or friends with instructions not to accept it and once enough is sitting in 'limbo' the will either cancel the send and get everything back or have the person it was sent to accept it all and immediately send it back so that they can accept it and buy whatever it was they were saving up for.

Good point, but then there should be something like no cancelations and the reciever cannot send back for 24hrs or something.

Yeah this is a great idea, but compage is right maybe if there was a 18 hour rule where you would get the naq or whatever even if you didnt accept it, and maybe only one of these transactions a day.

Nope.
I don't like it at all.
This is StarGateWars, not MerchantWars.
People with SS have enough functionality without needing more.

Indeed.
even with restrictions placed on being able to transfer back immediatly, the system would still be abused. I could send it to my friend who then sends it to his friend, who then returns it to me. Do you know how much naq alliances could protect? They could just continually transfer the naq from one person to another, adding any excess as they go. eventually, they could just finance each and every member's ascension, and continue the cycle. That would be crap.
The only way to make it even somewhat reasonable would be to call it a "secure transfer" or something and have it cost a large portion of the transfer, say 20% each transfer as a cost to protect the naq... then if someone were to transfer naq only to have it returned, they would only get 64% of it back... a hefty cost for a free bank, but maybe worthwhile to some.
But anyway, as Whitey said, this isn't a merchant game, it is a war game, so i am going to have to agree that that is why there is no point for this addition to the game, which is why it has not been suggested before.
just don't transfer naq to people who aren't online, simple as that.

I don't like this idea at all... think about this... first off, when someone sends anyone naq, what happens? you have to reload your screen... if you are trying to get another spy lvl and you are not on ppt then you would have to reload the screen (once the funds were sent) then accept the transfer then go to your training page then click the spy lvl button.... this would give a bunch of time for people to attack you... not that this would matter as much for people who have spy lvls 13, 14, and 15 ... this could definetly harm the people who are working on spy lvl 16, and up... and pray to God that you don't get attacked...
so yet again.... Stupid idea...

but you could have it so the recipent carn't send or recive for 24 hours, but still have the old system runing along side it.

I think this idea is a good one. It would make it much easier to coordinate trade and it should be relatively straightforward to enact safeguards against abuse of the system. The suggestions already mentioned in this thread are more than adequate to prevent people using this function as a free bank.
