Ascension/Physical Realm

This is something that has been bugging me for quite sometime, and to date, I don't have an answer I like.
You have
Ascended and non ascended.
Ascension being Ascended
Main being non Ascended(physical)
Yet Ascended server has its own physical realm.....
So where does this extra physical realm in the ascended server come from?
Why don't both physical realms interact with the other?
Why does the ascended technologies (ascended upgrades charisma, production, etc) benefit one physical realm(one in ascension) and not the other (main)?
Why does one have DMU, the other naq, but they give no mention of the other?
Why can one directly convert resource (DMU) into life force, but the other has too "Ascend" to any conversion to life force?
Thats just a few of the differences that don't seem to make logical sense to me.
Seriously, I don't want the answer, Its a game, or something about it being a game. I want to know why this 2nd physical realm on Ascended exists, and why it can do stuff the one in main can't or vice versa.
I also want to know what is the purpose of having this 2nd physical realm instead of just using main?
