What is the best way to play. I am asgard in the game, and should I increase my defence (if so to what amount), or increase my unit production (its 1900 at the moment). What do you think I should do, my income is about 1800000 per turn.

There are almost as many 'best ways' as there are players that use them. About the only thing that everyone agrees with is the UP is VERY important. After that it depends on what type of game you want to play and what race you are playing as.

With your income and UP being what they are though I would concentrate on building a good defence in order to keep the Naquadah that you make, being Asgard it should be much easier for you. Try aiming for 2-3 billion, that way there won't be many players who would be able to steal your Naquadah. Also get a decent spy level though since anyone with a decent spy level and enough spies could simlpy destroy your defence weapons to get to your Naquadah if you have enough sitting around to make it worth their while.

What covert level should someone have to protect them from most people sabotaging.

Depends entirely on how much Naquadah you normally have open. Level 16,17 and 18 are enough most of the time, but they still leave a couple of hundred people able to sabotage your weapons if you have enough in the open.

just get up up then get defence untill no attacks are getting through
