I made a new UP planet, pumped its defenses but I am not geting any total UP increse as I up its UP. went from 1-2k not increase in total UP my raw is 15k. Bugged planet?

Round reset no change.

What should I do abandon it? Wait till forum has a look ?

If you have 3 planets that give a bigger bonus than 50% of your raw UP and this 2k UP planet, you will get 50% of your raw UP for each planet or an average of the four bonuses, whichever is lower. At least that's how I think it works.
Let me explain: if you have 15k UP and 4 planets: 10k, 10k, 10k and 1k - you should get 3 x 7.5k + 1k = 23.5k bonus. Instead, you get 4 x 7.5k = 30k (as the average bonus is bigger than 7.5k).
If you have 4 planets: 10k, 10k, 10k, 10k, you should get 3 x 7.5k + 2k = 24.5k bonus. Instead, you still get 4 x 7.5k = 30k.
So, if you have 3 planets with a 10k UP bonus and a planet with 1k UP bonus, according to this theory, increasing the number of planet facilities has no effect as you're already getting the maximum bonus for having 4 UP planets. On the bright side, you're already getting the maximum bonus so why spend any naq?
If all of your planets are below the 7.5k mark (or above it), you will not notice this occurrence.

Sounds like the same issue i had with my attack planets, just with UP ones instead. No one has said it's a bug so until an admin says it is we can only assume it's part of the game. Important thing for you is you are getting your max UP bonus from having that many UP planets and as far as admin is concerned the cap to limit what you can get is working.

I believe admin already knows about this.

Note:Planets can only match 1/2 of your natural UP/att/cov/def scores. So if you had strike action of 1,000,000 - and 2 attack planets that contribute 1,000,000 each - your strike would be 1,000,000 + 2 x 500,000 or 2,000,000 (not 3,000,000 since your natural strike was 1,000,000 so the planets can only add 1/2 that much, times the number of attack planets you have).

to use 2 planets with different amounts of bonus

Never heard of this with planets. Got UP up to 20k base and am now getting the bonus from it. This is why I posted in the newbie section
