what is the difference between the ascended and the descended
such as someone is a prophet of a descended ori

well it means that someone descended their ascended account. in main I think the effects are that you lose 1/2 or all of your stat bonuses. not sure about ascended blessings though

EDIT: just checked the updates page and found this

*If you are descended in ascension, you do not get ANY bonuses in main.

Yeah, if you are a "whatever of a descended whatever" that means you have been descended and you lose your bonus to stats. "whatever of a Dormant whatever" means the player in question is on vacation mode in ascention and only gets half their normal bonus.
