Please, Everyone, run AVG, Spybot or anything else you have, a new MSN virus has come out, it even caught me off gaurd, and I have excellant anti-Spy and Anti-Virus programs, but is caught me by suprise, luckily I was online at the time, even still I had friends warning me that I was spreading a Worm. Please everyone run a a antivirus and anti-spyware program. It is spreading at an amazing rate. In 5 mins I got 7 links to this virus! DO NOT CLICK LINKS!!!!
It starts out as, I saw your pic on...(insert link here)
the first time it happened I trusted the link cause it came from a trustworthy friiend. Ever since then I have spread the worm. I have since shut my MSN down and found a worm with both my AVG and SB s&d
if found, please eliminate immdiately, don't click links, and be sure of what your friends send you.
Even after running AVG and SD S&D I am running into problems, my time is limited here, so please everyone, DON'T CLICK LINKS

Thanks for the warning, Ghost Punisher.

I think most people know that already.. but for those of us who haven't slept in a while, it's good to be reminded sometimes.

my deadbeat brother seems to have accepted a link on my computer, so my apologies if you are getting the link from my msn.
I even have numerous protection programs running and it got through them so be extra vigilant as always!
Also if you live with computer illiterate people it is wise to put a password on your computer!! f*in noobs accept everything

Those who were stupid enough here to click an image link here's a way:
1. Close Your Messenger
2. End Task “winsyshp” in Task Manager Processes (CTRL+ALT+DEL)
3. Start > Run > type msconfig > startup > Uncheck Winsyshp
4. Go to C:\Windows\ and delete img***.zip and winsyshp
1. Close Your Messenger
2. End Task “winsyshp” in Task Manager Processes (CTRL+ALT+DEL)
3. Go to C:\Windows\ and delete img***.zip and winsyshp
5. Start > Run > Type regedit
6. At Registry Editor, go to directory : “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Run”
7. You should find [Microsoft Visual Application] winsyshp.exe
8. Choose Data and Delete

You can also just System Restore to a recent date before you encountered it.

Thats actually been around for quite some time...

Lol get Mcafee

.
Now one big thing you always should do is REMOVE WINDOWS MESSENGER.
Always do that allmost all worms even this new on rely on you having Windows Messenger which you offcourse have as i follows with Windows that together with having REmote Access not turned off correctly is how they work.
Remove it and rescan then even if your doing it good reinstall live meaning uninstall that 2 do a scan restart scan again then install MSN live and keep off the damn Windows Messenger crap.

You could use Pidgin, it's much safer and support a lot of different protocols.
