i have some serious questions for our american bro's & sis's

not sure where i should put this or could we possibly have a political discussion board?
anyways, my questions to our American community is this...
why do you pay income tax?
and who do you think committed the terrorist acts on 9/11?
for the first question i'm looking for a simple answer, something like "because its the law" or "because we need to fund government and public services, IE. fund public schools build and maintain the roads...".
this will allow me to gauge the level of public knowledge and awareness the average American has.
i'm asking these questions on this forum because i don't visit other forums

1. to help defend our country by giving money for defense and other secret projects.
2. I think the Al'qaueda did or whatever. im not one of those conspiracy theorists that think we blew it up ourselves. Bush might have known about it a little but even so he let it happen just like Roosevelt did with Pearl Harbor because in the end it was good for our country.

Not saying that's what happened, but if that's what you believe happened, then well... Just gives me more of a reason to not like america.

I'm not american but:
1-Why wouldn't they?
Taxes are the best way for a state to make money, so all the moaners should think if state didn't get money...would be a bigg mess!!! Political and city things would be SKREWED!!!
2-Ben Laden family got exited in plane during 9/11, and they had no reasons to do it as they knew USA would invade Afghanistan and destroy only 100% islamist extremist governed country in the world.
It is maybe some parts of governement like in X-files, because you know the story about the towers being in the need to be demolished, and the architect-principal constructor earnt like $2bil (or 12?? I forgot) when it happend...AND THERE WAS OTHER TOWERS IN NY WHO FALL SAME DAY AND A DAY AFTER THE TWIN TOWERS!!! DON'T FORGET IT!
Or maybe japanese kamikazes, it's been said here it could be them...nationalists kamikazes...after Hiroshima and Nagasaki...they must not really like USA isn't it (nationalists)?

That makes no sense to me. Even if you count for an extreamist group, I see no real reason why Japanese nationalists would go after America for revenge after so long...

however, i do have another question, this time its for jimbo
...if a government was printing its own money which in turn was based on the nations gold/silver reserve why would there be "big mess" as you say?
surely if a nation only minted cash which it could back up, there would be no national debt...yes?
i will just say 1 more thing...theres nothing "federal" about the federal reserve...its a private corporation and is not subject to ANY kind of regulatory body and/or government legislation, and thats fact!

please note, i am not and would never laugh at what happened on that tragic day, i am only laughing at the above suggestion of what could have caused the event.

am not american either but:
1. you're probably talking about the federal income tax. so they pay it, even though they really don't have to as that tax is illegal, cos otherwise they'd be harrased by irs.
2. hugo chavez of course! why? he doesn't like america + he has oil. makes him a good target, right?
but seriously.. if not bin laden and al quaeda then i'd bet on the institute. use some dumb muslim terrorist and then get the yanks to sort out the arabs. good plan.

the 16th amendment to the constitution of the united states does NOT grant the government any new powers of taxation, even the US supreme court has said the same thing.
so...back to my original question...if the government is borrowing federal dollars to do whatever the hell it likes why are the people of the USA paying federal income tax to back up this debt, does that not mean you have been enslaved without even feeling the shackles being placed on your wrists and ankles???
let me ask you guys this (and please bear in mind that the national debt in America is currently running at over 72k per head)...what if the federal reserve was to call in the national debt, wouldn't that mean that all US citizens are nothing more than property of the fed?
i just don't get it
there is no law that sates it is mandatory to pay tax to the fed (in fact, it clearly states that it is a voluntary tax) yet the American people are paying the US governments debt to the federal bank, a bank that has never made public who the owners are i might add!
now my point is this...if the fed is an illegal institute carrying out illegal activities, activities that are against the American constitution, and will not show anyone the law that states you HAVE to pay this illegal tax then why is the federal reserve building still standing and why is GWB still alive and not swinging by the neck till dead for his traitorous acts?

I don't really know about the taxes in US & what they pay in the state, I just know here cutting them would screw everything up but well we are sorta an interventionning country, so I don't really know what US use taxes for...I can only guess...but why wouldn't they do it eh?
Every country has right to do it! Not in constitution? So what lol! Someone needs to pay debts and it's always population. THAT IS THE WAY ECONOMY WORKS! If population isn't paying, who will? The governement itself pays back what he spends? Where would the SUFFICIENT currency come from then? lol...
But well indeed...I am for taxes...but...only if they are spent WISELY and on LEGAL and NEEDED things! Transparent spendings otherwise I'm against this tax.
And about US, we never know, anyway the governement lobbies sounds the most accurate, the NRA needs reasons to justify the crazy amount of weapons being produced for war, this way they are used. And as I said, the dude got billions. Will find the youtube video and will post it
