Well..as I KNOW there is inevitably going to be a topic OR a topic is going to be made regarding this, I thought I would Jump into the aftermath of our recent April Fools Prank.

(To the mods, you know as well as I the above is true and very unavoidable, might as well have one topic to let it loose on..and block any others...)

First of all...You got me believing it was Tok'ra, but the doubts remained as to the website.

Secondly I do see that Judochops ingame and forum accounts have been banned, as to has JMX's in game account for matter of interest.

As to the whole and those WHO did miss it...

The story basically is, certain people worked together to collaborate a april fools prank. Tok'ra returned claiming that he could hack and find out peoples log in info. After 'hacking' almost 38's, JMX's and Judochops accounts, and claiming admin Jason or another possible member of the admin team had been selling this info.

Judging by the fact this debacle was allowed to continue for so long, with many of the mods present I can only suspect a lot of them were in on it. And Tok'ra IP being unbanned means one of the admins maybe both were in on it to. Or of course Tok'ra simply used a different IP address.

As it turns out the april fools prank was not taken lightly by Jason at least, and the accounts involved have been removed as far as the eye can see, for now at least.

All im going to say is, the intentions may have been right, and given a better scenario it could have been amusing, but letting that fiend Tok'ra back was a very stupid mistake and shock shock horror horror, it escalated to a negative level even without mine an others rather raw remarks.

It was very well put together. I generally thought it was a prank, but I'm not ashamed to admit that I had my doubts at various points throughout. Quite the April fool's indeed. : )

There accounts were banned not deleted

as im Jedi's officer and it doewsnt have deleted befor Tok ra

i didnt find it amusing in the slightest, i knew it was an april fools "prank" but no i did not know before hand, its easy enough to tell this was a prank because jason would never sell info, jason would never do something that could harm his game in this way.

Honestly, I had about lost faith in the game and such after reading all I did. Even got to the point of almost quitting. Wasn't sure what to believe, I wanted to believe it was a hoax, but........Its a heart felt relief to see that none of this is true, and thanks Forum for setting the record straight.

It was a Prank in poor taste.

Certain members of the Administration were in on it.
Other members of the Administration found out and played along with it.
Others still ignored and only a few such as Buck did something about it.

Certain members of the community were in on it.

The Accounts ingame were changed by their owners. No Hacking.
The Accounts on Forums were given freely to Tok'ra. No Hacking.
The Accusations were founded upon rumours without evidence.

Tempers were ignited, An Address was given away, quite a few who had issues with Tok'ra became distressed and others still were worried enough to change their passwords. This unsettled and upset the community and its a shame to see those involved propergating it despite the damage it was doing to the community internally.

Overall, very ashamed and disappointed, especially in the administration who kept it going so long.

April Fools?

The Joke wasn't on the community and the only foolishness was the forsight of those commiting it and their continued destabilisation of the community.

how can this be a prank.. lol firstly tokra wasnt the first to have said these kinds of myth,rumers,theories.. there have been others in past. and

one more thing i want to ask,. y are all the mods closing any topic.. lol, i know that jedi said that it was a prank but still u gotta wonder y would the mods close it all.. maybe they hiding something

no thats silly. The mods are closing the topics because there simply does not need to be more then one topic. The other topic regarding the actual event, made by tok'ra himself was most likely closed on Jason's order, if not in fear of what Jason would do when this atrocity was revealed to him.

It was also a topic filled with flaming, spam and well Tok'ra (aka waste of space..)

None of this is childs play at all, and can be quite serious. We KNOW it was a prank, were not here to question the validity of the admission of truth we now have, rather the feelings and opinions of whats happened. I dont think any more accusations and similar theories have a place in this thread or any other for this day at least.

I do not know who all knew about it, or what they knew, or what they did to stop it if they knew. But rest assured, we are running an internal investigation to find out who was in on it, and what role they played.

I do know this, Buck, Digi, Tanith, and myself attempted to stop it, but that's really all I can say on that. In my case, I did not do enough to stop it, and for that I am sorry. It was a mistake to which I have learned from, and will not allow to happen again. I only hope that you will forgive me for neglecting to come forward sooner.

The only thing that I thought was strange about this whole thing was the tampons in Tok'ra's bathroom.

If the TLE channel is more active, then doesn't that mean everyone else is hiding from me

From what I know, Buck & Tanith did a great job, from what i've heard, so did Dadigi and the internal investigation will be an opportunity for Jack to prove himself to his doubters.

I think now is the apt time for the phrase I had in my sig:
