Community making rules

Owk as Smooshable made opent a discussion about "Rules" and he said the following that back in time the community made their own rules.

However the community is how old now 3 years + now what if the community made new "rules" again ? And not the mods as they are in a group that leads the community but arent the community in active duty.

Its simple their are allot of rules here some are worthed some are absolutly not...

Remember back when community or atleast allot of people were against suprise parties behind the back of the community ? We all do now will not do that again.

But as Smooshable is the admin and sed the community made the rules in past what if the community renewed those rules !

ofcource this would reduce hostile activitie against the mods/admins as they will act based on the rules the community made and this will also reduce problems within the forums...

I see nothing wrong with the rules that are in place now.. all that would change would be the wording of the rules but in essence they would be more or less the same.

Don't fix something that isn't broken

Well like I putted in the thread some ARE worthed some are defently not.

And thats what this thread is based on... like many sed posting no stats ? wth for rule is that ? and also this would improve allot more of discussion within the forums...

"Mehh u banned me for that it isn't fair thar rule is so wrong"

but when the community made the rules the cant complain about those anymore thats the point I wanne show.

If someone cannot spy the stats of a player then it should not be known to the whole community what they are. I'm sure a lot of people would agree that this rule is good enough to remain. Surely you could discuss them on msn or in pm's but everyone knowing someones stats just puts a target on their account.
I'm in war and I surely will not talk about any of the peoples stats I'm fighting with except with the people who I am massing with. Solely to discuss the best course of action to destroying what I can.
Surely it can be discussed about which stats are best and someone can themselves post their own stats or talk about them but it's not anyone else's place to do that.

Why do you think labelling rules as 'community' rules will take away people's right to complain if they feel they've been treated unfairly or moderated unjustly?

That's a bad road to go down.

The 'community' as a whole is an ignorant, inane and effete entity. That's why we have moderators; because this forum would otherwise be unable to maintain itself. There are always differing viewpoints in any large group of people. I don't want my right to disagree taken away because the so called community took it upon themselves to make up rules on my behalf.
