Are planets most Planets even worth the price of beacons?

most are worth 100s if not 1000s times the price of a becon.

well if u are a small player then it will feel like its not even worth it. but for big players there planets are way too big and strong so to me safe they beacon it so that in a war when its stole and abandonned they can search for it and take it back.
