Ingame planet Auction House

My idea is that whenever someone abandons a planet, it goes to a ingame market and you get 1bil. naq. The ingame market show the planet and its info that is for sale. The price will depend on its size and attribute, the smaller and lesser amount of attributes the planet has, the cheaper the planet and vice risa. To prevent abuse, the min. price will be 1bil. and its name will be changed. Also, you can't abandon a planet until 48 hours have passed.

No

1. It completely make the MS function useless.
2. Taking and abandoning planets is a highly used viable war tactic, this nulls that tactic.
3. Don't be afraid to work alittle bit to get what you want, it does give you a sense of satisfaction if its not just handed to you on a silver platter.

What about a 'planet auction'.

Select a planet you have. This planet goes into a special mode, resembling the merlin device. You still get benefit from it, but no one can attack it, and unlike normal, you can no longer upgrade defenses or properties. You also can not take it off auction mode, at the end of the bidding, you ARE going to loose it unless no one bid on it.

People may bid on that planet. Say, for 1 week? The bid will be in market value, so you can bid turns and untrained units as well as Naq. End of auction, highest bid wins.

Alternative: Just implement a way to give planets away. This way you don't have to set neutral on some one to let them attack a planet you want them to have... yeah.

I think that the planet auction is an awesome idea. I think it should be an additional feature people should have the choice to use. Therefore not diminishing the abandon ability used frquently. People should have to pay the auction house a fee, set a minimum bid price and a possible buyout price. Also players with supporter stats can view the auction house and bid on planets available. Acually Im intrigued by this auction house so much I think that all resources should be available to be put into a auction house, this would make it much easier to find desired resources at all moments without looking through the forum or finding people you know who are selling.

EDIT - Also the auction house fee should be derived from how long you want the auction to last, say 24 hours or 48 hours. If no one bids or buyout the resource you loose your fee but the resources are returned.

EDIT - Demon Lord Razgriz can you change the subject to Auction House I think it would get more attention.

perhaps the cost for auction should be say, 10% of production & defense...

that way people cant exploit it the same way... it'll also get much more expensive with time to do so...

but without such harsh regulations on it, this would not work, it'd be too exploitable...

Why?

How will it benefit the game? What positive thing will it bring to the game?

I'm sure this was suggested before (both auctions and planet markets) - a long time ago - I need to check, but I seem to recall the idea of planet markets was rejected because there was the potential for abuse - i.e. being specifically able to pass a planet onto someone without anyone incurring damages.

I think it is a atractive idea but not needed, cause i implemente ill be the first takin someone else planets and sending them to auctions, would get a lot of naq from a planet that did not belong to me! like a dual for example, or just a big income or UP planet.
If anyone wanna sell his planet go to forum market, there u can do an auction i think many does that, lazy boys, about giving it and setting neutral , relations can be set to neutral and 24 hours later to peace, im sure that noharm will be done for this. to give a planet is so easy , set neutral the dude and take the planet, a price most be paid for this or else , cheaters would take an advantage from this , really easy if u think a minute on how to cheat with the system u guys are proposing, will not say cause i dont wanna give any cheater an idea of how to cheat!

So just work harder in your accounts, check more and set neutral and then peace, wont kill u guys! aaah btw, i have the same question wolf359 did

Well it would certainly elimate the possibity of scamming people.

and i can olny see personal benefits not to the game , even tho i dont know why wolf359 needs game benefits, but most have a reason i cant find and cant find any game benefit he he he!

WHY ????

As for the cheating thing it only makes another track record in your account and makes you suspecious. Possibly helping a friend, but still its just another record for the admin to keep track of whats going on.

err ok some possiblity, it would make people feel more comfortable trading, and open the market for more trades being done.

there is no need for this mate, taking planets is so easy, and already a problem with dudes making accounts , building up their fleets and stealin planets just to harm other alliances and stuff... i know cause i had that problem, this auctions things will not help much , and as someone else said will kill war tactics and worst make the planets an exploit to easy to use!
but if any of u give a good reason about this i could stop thinking on bad things and start thinking about best things that can come with this and how to reduce damages. :-D

Okay so remove the planet option and lets think about the Auction House for resources...
