I've been a casualy player of StargateWars for some time and was wondering if Farming is acceptable ingame?

Basically i learnt early on that to excel in this game, one must have a high defence and a high unit pop. My unit population has almost reached 2000 a day which has left me with over 100,000 untrained units giving me a healthy 6.5million a game turn. However this was also noticed by several high ranked players (about a dozen) who have basically farmed me for weeks and or months on end. These attacks are consistent each day and any defence and trained units i have (despite have 10,000 of best defence) are swept away along with my Naq and leaving an enourmous repair bill that the majority of the time i cannot pay for for days. This makes the game incredibly difficult to enjoy and for quite some time i have grinded to a complete stand still and am actually becomming weaker and weaker with each day. Is there any way to counter this or is a factor of the game that your power rolls like a roller coaster according to the high ranked players?

A dozen once or Twice off attacks each day i can understand and deal with, but when the same users target you continually is this actually frowned upon or generally accepted.

In genereal people don't like being farmed and some alliances don't take players farming their members kindly. Many, possably most, players do this though. Once they find someone who produces a lot of Naquadah and has to little defence to stop them they will check often to see how much the can take.

There are a few things you can do:

1) Get rid of your defence completely. While this doesn't stop them from farming you it does mean that you don't have any repair bills and since they are already getting past you defence...

2) Signon more often to bank your income.

3) Join either an alliance or a commander that are strong enough and willing to step in to stop those players from farming you.

4) Get a high enough covert that these people can't see how much Naquadah you have.

5) Set your alert level to Critical when you are not online to reduce your income.

That about covers it.

another idea get your attack up instead of your defence(covert not as important for the start)so you can start farming get lots of naq and get all stats up except defence untill you can raise your rank high enough

and yes realm alert critical helps
