War Experience and Side Effects...

i havent been back playing properly for a while now and am re-building my account....noticed the war experience total thingy and thought 'cool'...im ranked about 330 or something....neat little add on
HOWEVER...
a close friend of mine who also doesnt play that much due to having 3 young children got massed by an individual (i wont be naming peeps) a little while back...
he had around 50bill out with a 950bill defense.....couple of attacks were defended then started the massing...only it wasnt the defense that went.....oh no....all the supers were killed off and all covert agents....
we got to thinking 'why?'....he hadnt attacked anyone in a long time....no enemies etc....then it struck us....his account is un-ascended/not in alliance, and as such had to have larger amounts of armies for the kind of stats posted above....
the only reason he got massed is cos some honourable individual is desperate to climb this military experience ranking in the vain hope of catching blahh and making a name for himself...
some might say 'hey its a war game' - and i can imagine this person quoting the same rubbish....massing an account 4 times smaller than your own for absolutely no reason apart from the fact mentioned above is pretty pathetic imo
recently i caught someone with over a mill UU out and started raiding....got a message 30 mins later...guy couldnt get on after a PPT and was gutted about the losses....ended up returning all the UU in trade for the turns i used....now im not saying im holier than thou but is this a rare thing now in the game?....a bit of courtesy and fair play??

At first I thought, if the guy had AB'd three times in a row, that that would've been Blahh's handy craft. But unascended?
It's probably true, then, someone is just trying to boost their ME up. It's quite the update, and it 'has' caused people to be alot more anti-building, but it isn't the big people going after the big people.

Save the little guys!
Although, a few people I know have been massed for not being ascended while in GnR range trying to ascend for their first time. Lame how some people hunt the smaller accounts which come with no consequences for ME rather then somebody more their size who would actually put up a fight when massed.

I have been massed a few times in my account career, but the best was 'I didn't like your planet names'. Anything really goes in this game.
