heres what i'd posted in a different thread with canon links... I love that song so much. I mean, how can you not love it? the melody, the canon, the way it all blends. damn. it is so awesome.
I don't tend to listen to classical music in orchestral format too often, as to listen to it properly I have to be able to listen to all of it... As in, all the parts, everything-and unless I can sit back and do nothing while listening its too distracting to listen and do something else. When it comes to it though I tend to listen to things with good trumpet parts (as I play trumpet). So things like Trumpet Tune and Ayre and Rondeau by Purcell, Trumpet Voluntary by Clarke, are nice. Then you have Bach's requiem, always a classic. Handel's Messiah is good. Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14. Oh, and how can you not love Brahms' Lullaby? (I can't remember how to spell the correct name). Piano Concerto no. 2 by Rachmaninov. Oh man, I could go on and on forever... but everytime I think of a song I go and listen to it-so this post has already taken over half an hour to write. lol.
