Ok well with the new update on only have 10 officers I just had an idea. Why not make it to where you can buy officer slots via the ingame market. Make it to where you use all three MT's for one extra officer slot. Maybe make it possible via the cash market as well. That way the 40 or so of us can have them without effecting the game that much. We'd lose our MT's or we could invest $$. Maybe make it 2 weeks worth of MT's.

to a max of what officer count though? the old 25? 20? 15?

25 i guess. depends what admin is in the favor for. personally i'd like to have 50, i'd pay for it.

In the other topic, Admin said he was considering basing it on ascentions, as in more ascentions = more officers. Not sure what the limit would be, anyway just posting it in case you didn't already know.

since there are 20 now that would make ascending beyond LG+1 for at least some people worth while...


now if something could be done about those pesky ascended updates from last year....it might make ascending more fun again and more important.

Does Jedi miss his UP boost?

I suppose officer slots could be linked to G&R or army size,

1 officer slot for every 1000 G&R

Or

1 officer slot for every 10 Mill army size.

i dont think thats a bad idea, i would be in favor of MTs or $$ for officer slots.

Although I would have rather Jason kept the new UP update as it was, he changed it and reduced the number of officer slots so that it was absolutely necessary to work on your own UP to receive a significant UP bonus from your officers. Simply employing ways to buy more slots is just a way of getting around that,

I would definately be 110% against a $$ trade for increasing slots - the game is meant to be free remember (other than for SS), and making this idea a $$ trade would massively detract from that.

The true nature of a commander/officer relationship should not be based on UP bonus anyway.

I'd say we have to suck this one up - a lot of the community didn't like the original new UP update (although for purely selfish reasons) - Jason listened, he changed it and added this as a penalty - so I don't think he'll relent and allow a way around it.

True with more officers I have it easier. However these officers I offer them protection and help them not get beat down by some of these people out there. So really that Uu goes back to them in way. Say one of them wants to mass someone that hit them, they come to me and I do it without them lifting a finger.

Yes bud - You do - but a lot of people don't and only want officers for what they can get from them - that much is evident in teh amount of 'update sucks' posts there've been and complaints about 'it's now not worth me having officers - that to me implies an 'out to get what I can' relationship, rather than a relationship based on loyalty, co-operation and protection.

Like I said though - ultimately it comes down to Jason making it 10 as a penalty - and history dictates that penalties aren't generally open to being removed by any means.

Having it based off G&R is a stupid idea, since people on page one have been there since like forever and have amassed quite a bit of it. Being based on number ascensions is an idea, except that the ascension server really just plain sucks. that idea is better than G&R though. Lastly .. as for army size. "Eh." that is a decent idea too.

I vote for either number of ascensions or army size.
