The Commanding Officer (CO) - Officer relationship

Commanding officers or CO's can give up 10% to 30% of their Naquada income to share with their officers during every turn.
Example: CO A has 1,000 Naqauda income per turn. If CO A recruits Officer 1, then officer 1 benefits from having a CO by gaining 100 to 300 Naquada per turn, depending on the CO - officer relationship.
What happens if there are two or more officers?
Simply put, all officers equally divide among them the income that they get from their CO.

On the other hand, the CO gets a percentage of an officer's Unit Production (UP) without reducing the UP of the officer.

This is good news for the officers since small or start up accounts can hook up with a CO to earn extra income. At the same time, the CO benefits from this relationship with an increase in UP production that does not subtract from the UP production of the officers.

it just gets divided up, if ya have it set to 30%, and ya have 2 officers, they get 15% of YOUR total income each im pretty sure...

admittedly, yes it is, but only at the end.... oh, all right.... i'll just edit and post a link to recruiting forum. :smt019 how many newbies do you expect to be in the correct forum anyway? a newbie will go to the newbie forum. where else to recruit newbies but in newbie forum. maybe if they are instantly recruited, the numbers quitting the game would go down.

Weilandsmith is only trying to help give new players guidance. So this should stay in Newbie/FAQ section.

However, to be honest hardly any new members (even existing members) seem to use the search function or even look through some of the posts before they post questions themselves! :?

and one more thing needs to be considered when asking yourself if you are doing yourself a favor by staying at your current CO, do you trust him/her? Can you ask questions and do you get replies? A CO should be some1 who can help you out, most new players join a CO with more experience.

But if a CO wants you to push your UP too high (which makes ascending more expensive) then the CO wants a big UP bonus from you. If he wants it, but is trustfull, he will try to advise you to get some UP planets instead or you find yourself some officers, but that would mean you will be also protecting them.
