Not sure if this was brought up before, couldnt find it immediatly.

Isn't it a better Alliance ranking system where both total power and an Alliance Mill Exp make up the Alliance ranks?

Players who participate when a war is declared also score millitary experience for the alliance stats. This would only be monitored and changed when war is declared, so when there is no war declared you only earn your own millitary exp.

It would force alliances that don't play for war, but want a good alliancerank to go to war to score alliance mill exp.

yes then you can see if an alliance is totally into wars or not plus it is something else you can show off

The only problem would be that an alliance just coming into the game would find it extremely hard to even come anywhere near to the military experience of an established alliance who has fought many wars.

So, whereas a new alliance may be able to match or better an older alliances power, they will never be able to match military experience - and since the rankings are based on power (or apparent power), and the individual rankings also don't take military experience into account (nor should they), then I don't think the alliance rankings should be changed to include it.

It's a nice idea though.

But which is a better indicator of an alliance? Their military experience or some guy with 50mil AC units trained?

This would be a nice addition - or at the very least have it unranked but visible in the alliance ranking page somewhere....

Again would be to hard to track who had REAL experience and who didn't, take say 5 guys, no def, no covert, all strike, go mass an alliance with 30 members, who all have say 2trill def......

Yes and that 30 member alliance also receives alliance exp. eventhough they loose, also my idea was that it only records all.exp. when a war is officially declared, so no unofficial massing counts.

The following came to me after re-reading my initial idea.

why can't we see the current wars that are declared somewhere ingame? And if there is this already, then i am blind
