how do you build planet defences

Down the right hand side of your command page there should be a list of personel and then planets beneath that....the title Planet Summary in between them is clickable.....click on it and it should take you to the Planet Management page....from there you simply type in the number of defence facilities you wish to add next to the bit that says "Increase Planet Defences" and then click on the button that will say something like "20,000,000 Naquadah per"

And you should start to get planet defences if you have enough Naq....

Naq is not a problem

It's better (cheaper) to build defenses while planet is smaller until you have it well defended (like 10,000 facilities at least) and then upgrade the size.
