When I deposit funds into my bank, I usually just click deposit and it deposits everything I have "in the open" up to the capacity of the bank.

I've been reading a lot of posts about "tamper data" and the autoban. Is just clicking deposit with the default entry something I should be doing or not?

Also, I used to withdraw from the bank by just typing a bunch of 9's as it was cumbersome to type the exact amount I wanted to withdrawal. I've stopped doing this per recommendation of a friend who told me this could be considered "tamper data"

That brings me back to the default entry for deposit which seems to work in much the same way.

I didn't know what section to post this in, hopefully this is the correct one for getting an answer.

damn, i'm using this since lot of time, never had any problem about it...

Caesar2 got banned for banking his naq, other people have been banned for repairing weapons, selling mercs, raiding and not repairing weapons. Can't even play the game nowadays without the risk of being banned.

I've been doing those things for three years now....never had any problem with them, never had any reason to be concerned about using them until now....

The new autoban is creating an atmosphere of paranoia that anything they do is going to be considered cheating by the autoban....people are afraid of massing/ascending/selling weps....and now even banking.

Please take notice of some of this stuff admins....

Here again I request that admin release the source for the autoban script.

Thanks for the replies guys. I didn't want to stir up more paranoia as I really only have my friends comment to go on with this question. I have been banking by copying and pasting values now, although makes me wonder if the commas might cause a problem too.

The problem is the vast majority of the game can play as normal without any problem, yet a small number who apparently are doing nothing different than they have been in the past have ended up banned.

of course we have no way to know if they are cheating or not, but there certainly seems to be at least circumstantial evidence that the ban script is falsely banning people because almost all the recent people banned have been unbanned after investigation.

so cheaters can figure out how to hack it. ok the system doesn't seem to be perfect at the mo but give it time, its better something is there and some get checked out, than cheaters get to have free rein.

Open source code allows for better testing, and over all better code. If the code is good, and bug tested it doesn't matter if cheaters can see the code. Let us hackers take a look at the code, test it, and get it back to admin. That will keep the crackers from abusing it.

And currently admin needs to appoint someone who can get back to the individuals who are autobanned in a timely fashion. I think the autoban system is good-but it needs to be improved.

since the day i started sgw i have been withdrawing naq from the bank by putting in a load of 9's. I still do it and i have never been banned. Also I think what cyberblade was saying about admin getting someone to be in charge of getting back to people who have been banned is a great idea. I would love to do it as i am on a pc around 9 hours a day everyday, but i would not give up playing sgw for it.
