It's really hard to see the new messages when they're in the bottom left hand corner of the screen, so my suggestion is to put it at the top, just under where it tells you how long you have ppt for.

I second this, I miss alot of PMs due to the placement of the PM notice.

I dont really have a problem with this. The first thing I do when i log on is look for pm's. I dont think there needs to be a change with this.

So do I, but I didn't know they were even there till my Commander told me. By that time I was at 27 messages lol.

It won't do any harm moving it to a more visible position and It'd make it easier to see for new players.

in truth, it wouldnt do harm to redesign the entire messaging system as well... but that'd be rather much work...

cant see harm in this idea though...

but perhaps place it instead just below the game clock? on a regular 1024x768 screen, the box would then be visible...
but it might not be that easy though... as it could potentially require redesigning of the sidebar again, and we believe that it wouldnt be worth the amount of work that needs to just move the message thingy...

It's not moved for 1 player, and I hardly see how it would annoy someone for putting it at the top, it would mean you wouldn't have to scroll down to see it, and new players would know where it is.

I'd say don't move it, but perhaps have a message at the top of the screen on the Command Centre page saying something like "You have 3 new messages" But if its a pain to do, it's not worth doing it.

I agreed don't move it since thats where it has always been. But have a message show up saying that you have new messages
