hack attempt?

i thought this was kind of funny, for quite a few reasons.

sorry if this is the wrong spot for this, but here it is, as you can see the date this email was sent. and no, i did not reply with the requested "credentials".

if an SS is needed, I will get that as well.

our main database lost several individuals game statistics and information in the last downtime. It was a short down time last night lasting about 10 minutes. We are running off a backup server that is inaccessible by us - it only holds temporary information. It seems that only random users were affected, and we have constructed a list of users that need to re confirm their credentials via email. Please respond with your current account name, current password, and the e-mail used to log into your account. In addition please include your ID, and anything strange occurring with your account.

I think that email address there needs to be added to lets say, several 100 "selected" websites, if they want attention that badly.

Wouldn't do much good I'm afraid. Gmail's filtering can be rather anal retentive when trained right. All that would accomplish would be filling up the spam folder. :D

I feel this is becoming a very serious issue, Admin MUST become aware. I would like to ask that anyone who is in contact with him PLEASE contact him immeditly and notify him of this imposter, and the fradulant actions that are being taken. Also anyone who attends the weekly meetings on wensday please foward admin jason this link.
