If I try to enter the security code, email, and password it will tell me I have incomplete login information.

Yet if I were just to put "D" in for my username it would log me in just fine. So whats the point of having 4 required fields when one isnt really required at all? o_O

Whats the use of having the username at all, if someone knows your email and pass they dont need your username, as they can look it up ingame,

The only way to secure that would be to have, a username to log into the game, but your ingame name was different,

Example

Login Name, Stargatewars
Ingame name, Imassalot,

Random names ( if someone actually has imassalot, then sorry LOL )

But you get the idea.

It also helps people with lots of weird characters in their name.

I see what you mean GeneralChaos, but I'm not talking about how secure the current system is.

I'm asking why it prompts us for a username and then takes partial usernames, like the first letter. Shouldnt it require an exact match? I thought it might be a bug.

Cycladic: That actually makes sense. Didn't think of that. But again, why require it at all if its not necessary to get it right?

See if it is reading it straight from the cookie that the site stores, log in as normal, using the single letter for your username, then logout clear all cookies from your browser, then try it again, and see if it will still work...

it works i always use 1 leter way quicker than typing in my full name u need to type in full email and pass still i think its in place for people with really wierd names

Partial username login is allowed.

which is a good thing for some people I suspect, input field isn't as long as a name can be, at least, not for ascension.
