Been linked to this, thought I had to spread the word!

It's not retarded video clip about badgers or crap like that, it's serious stuff!

It's important to keep it at least 24 hours here, then you can move it to this & that..

Let's just hope it's paranoia!

*shakes magic 8 ball*
"Will this actually happen"
*Outlook is Baleeeeeek*

Come on...lol..if they did that, and ONE service provider, say a smaller one didnt want to follow the fold, you imagine it. Would be the worst business descision in a long time, because people are not going to do it, more because everyone has had free access to the internet for years and years then for outrageous prices.

Its a hoax. You fool jim.

Actually not that far fedges as things happening around the world kinda point in that direction and since they already said Internet Version 2 was under way and being worked on i would never put it past the Western World to do it to get more control no matter how much we like it or not we are showen most of the stuff on telly that our gowerments want and we arent that democratic as we wanna believe our self.

But but for this to actually be true who knows there are signs that both confirms and disconfirms it so up to the single person to judge.

yeah, but like I said....if one or two internet providers DONT...not to mention how are people going to react.

In the end, yeah businesses can pretty much do what they want, but if they do something the customers dont like, and this will be one of them, from the premiss I see at the moment. Its a baddddd...idea.

Comcast is throttling people for any excuse they can come up with.

As for that whole net-nonsense, I care less. It's not like it'd ever be so expensive I can't afford it.. Or anyone, for that matter.

Actually m8 for a small ISP to go solo it need to get all sides over to its server have the money to be everywhere and the biggest ISP owns most of the talk ways these days i know that most of the cables in the water for Interweb are own by the biggest companies and that small ISP wont get allowed to join.

It can be done and it would means small ISP has no trafic saying it happens is another thing.

I know if they wanted to they can just listen to the plans for Internet Version 2 which WILLL close the old internet already said if Microsoft didnt stop their monopol and tried to go against WWW for HTML coding and so on they would make it so no Microsoft system could use the Internet its not hard to do and MS sued them and lost lol so yeh we know it can be done.

But with all the hoax out there who is to say this is true or not??

Not everyone is rich enough to handle this. :( That means I couldn't access the net anymore... :? :o
40/month...that's ALOT!
It means you have to pay this ADDITIONALY to your net provider, so 70/month minimum.
If you want to access a "better" internet, not surprised it would cost like Jack said.
In other words, internet for rich people. Those who can spend over 200/month on this.
Don't blind yourself, IF it happens, it means rest will grow up too. Free downloads will be banned forever, so you'll have to pay for each download, so additional 30 or 40/month, nomore of the pay x €/$ per month and unlimited access to our database either.
Not surprised that all "major" sites change the "premium" access where you have to pay to a "basic" access where you have to pay but for same content that free access gave, and "premium" price being doubled or tripled..

Now let's think of youtube and other sites. To access video clips you'll have to watch only the clips from "official" profiles, like universalmusic one, and of course, you'll have to pay a little amount per month; so if you join several groups, more cash to add on the total payment.
In the end, if you want to keep the internet you have, you'll spend in a year like what you earn per month, if not more..just for keeping your access.

If it happens, of course...

@ Nimras, the influx of customers wanted freedom of surfing = more money = the placement of more lines, channels, if not out buying the old ones because they pay local governments more moolah...

They may be small, but everyone has to start somewhere.

@Jack. Thats not scary. You normally get demos from in shop magazines which cost £3-4 normally, so having to pay $3 a month to be able to use unlimited demo's is not really that different.
