Vultures?

Are there really vultures? I mean just because you're in a war doesn't mean you can't get attack from regular farmings and raidings.

This the the story when I was farming and raiding.

You attacked my officer and we are currently at war. Return any dirty naq and cease all attacks against my officers and alliance. Thank you

-hokiehomeboy

My response:

Sorry, I can't give the naq back. I don't think being in a war doesn't give you immunity from regular attacks. Also, I only attack people with 0 def.

hokiehomeboy's response:

If you wish to be a vulture the choice is yours. Thank you for informing me of your decision

It's just sick that people use the "WAR CARD" as an excuse to get their resources back in which in my case, I didn't.

its a style of playing. i learned my lessons when i stood up against a certain group here. its a style of play.

there are people who want their accounts to be immune from outside attacks if they are at war. that's the way they want to play it.

personally, i believe that war doesn't make you immune to common attacks. as a matter of fact, war should leave you open to more attacks.

Well to be honest mate if you were to hit FUALL you wouldve gotten the same response. Would you have posted here then? Hokie's just lookin out for his mates is all and despite the lacking of my account, [Yeah i doubt i could back my words up] I agree with him. You shouldnt be hitting Dudes in war :O Common decency really. That being said the casual once a day attack never hurt anyone :) The only time I dislike the "War Card" as you call it is when its ONE attack [Again see FUALL] and they bloody well freak out. Apologies to FUALL for slinging mud in your direction but you guys are the first ones to come to mind in this instance #-o

I dont think you should be labled a vulture for one random attack, but if you know an alliance is in war and intentionally farm every member because they have a lower def than normal i think that is taking advantage and "vultureing".

that's exactly what happens in war. right? and when war is over, those who've been 'vultured' can take their revenge. just like rl wars really. people should just stop complaining of being 'vultured' and just hit back. its just a way of war.

I never understood why it bothers people so much. better they get the resources than the enemy?

Actually being a 'vulture' is one of the best ways to grow very big, very quickly. :) Sure, you'll not have many friends among those whom you target, but okay.. that's a choice. Besides, it doesn't make you less of a good person.

And Riposte's right too.. although inherent to the game is that every player is your enemy, except for those whom you chose to ally yourself with until such time as you and your allies are the only ones remaining, at which point you can start tearing each other to pieces. :)

Here is Pianomutt's Theory of farming.

If you are big enough to farm me, and not be uttered destroyed by myself or my alliance in times of peace...you can do so.

BUT...Heaven forbid you be a weaker player taking advantage....Then..you go on the list.

This list involves people whom were what I consider...very stupid.

I don't know how long i'll sit on ya, most likely until I am bored...But by then, I assure you that any profit you made off my account is long since in the negative.

Farming powerful players without def is extremely risky..As they tend to have very long memories.

I agree that if people at war want to be left alone they should be left alone to war, but then they shouldn't hit other people for resources. It reminds me of people who say "Do as I say, not as I do." If you choose to hit folks not involved in your war, don't complain about others hitting you.

Brilliantly summed up. That is what really tics people off and they have the guns to make it unfortunate for the vulture. Judge wrong, and you can be in a very big world of hurt.

I will not knowingly cross into a battelfield that is not my own unless by accident. I like to give the warring parties a fair chance to prove themselves against each other. Besides, you DON'T make friends as a vulture and I find friends can make a huge difference for you.

Now, attacks on parties NOT in your war by smaller accounts simply because they know they can cry vulture if you return fire? That is a very different story and tends to irritate me. A lot.

I'll just chime in and say that before this war started, we massed two seperate alliances simply because one of their members farmed us. Vulture or not, if you hit us, chances are you're going to be seeing us again soon after :P
