I was thinking of this lately...what makes a person want/not want to have children?
Because I'm quite surprised when I hear young people who want children I'll explain with my more or less biased arguments.

¤Children take out your freedom, you can't go where you want, you have to take care of them instead, when you could travel alone or with your wife/husband (or not married version of course lol) and enjoy the life. You have a forced schedule and spendings. You can't do many things anymore.

¤Children are stupid and annoying. They always do bad things, they scream or cry all the time, they do blackmail to obtain what they want, they eat dirty things like glue (pffft pathetic!). They always put their fingers in their nose and they break many things in the house, that you'll have to buy again, so they also cost you there. You have to be behind them because they will most likely put themselves in danger if you don't watch them.

¤Children cost you alot. You have to take care of them from before they born until their studies, all this money, could be used on something else. Like travels, house buying, car buying, why not even wonderful and precious gifts to your love?
You have instead to buy all room stuff before the baby is born, then food, clothes, diapers (and change the baby...bleh!). Then you have to buy him furnitures, wordbooks, games, consoles, video games...finally you have studies to pay him.

By the way I'm 18, turning 19 soon, don't have children, and happy to be so!

What are advantages according to me (to be fair)?
You get descents for your family.
You share things with them and learn them what you know.
You have a part of yourself and your love living.

18 also, i would like to have a family tho. but not now. too early. i like the thought of being a father honestly...

Voted "not now", because I think when I'll marry I'll have no other choice than have them because my wife will want so!

Not especially. Like you said, they're both expensive and time consuming. I have too many other things I want to do with my life right now, and a bun in the oven would jeopardise that.

But perhaps I'll feel differently when I'm a little older, or if I have a long term partner.

after i finish university and get a decent job with a high income and can afford to pay a deposit on a mortgage then i would think about having a family

i would consider it unfair to bring up children in an unstable and uncomfortable environment

Ok, so I'm only (partly) joking about that. Having kids would be nice, but they are expensive, etc etc. Plus, I'm considering a career in the military, which atm looks to be tours overseas if I got into the Army or Marines. So, not really the best way to raise kids.

When I think in middle age little kids were considered like animals...when you see some of kids behaviour, you start to wonder if there wouldn't be "exceptions" in the law about considering all children humans
I mean the really stupid mad and wild ones who only know groans and insults as language and behave like wild animals such as chimps
We should pu them collars and make them sleep on the garden and feed them with dog food!

All jokes aside, I am sad that this kind of children exist...disgrace to humanity to be honest!

She doesn't look like a "serious" woman enough to consider marry her..so about children...no.

seriously, (rly!) in the majority of cases parents are to balme. children are like horses (well, an average horse is as inteligent as 3 yrs old child) so they should be treated like horses.
