Just being curious because I see MANY people whose I have no idea where their username comes from, and what is its meaning.

Legendary Apophis comes from fact I play for 3 years and I'm one of the few Apophises left, soI had to change my name (Apophis The Great was boring) to something else. Why did I choose Apophis? Back in time, I thought this game had graphics, so wanted to roleplay goa'ulds since their ships and tech looked best, and then chose Apophis because he was stronger System Lord in my opinion. Took me two weeks to decide to join, because I never played such game and had no idea how it was, joined finally at end of february 2005.

I chose the name,because i act like it.(ingame and on forums,not IRL)

I guess most of people chose because they liked it more or less, and I forgot to put a more clear title because my point was more the meaning than reason to pick it. Which is up now.

i choose it because Q was the first letter in my surname,it doesn't mean much,just a spur of the moment sort of a thing when i joined this game and i have used it for any other games i have played since!
its not that i like it that much! just couldn't be bothered changing,but now might be a good time!

At the time, I chose RobinInDaHood with three ideas in mind:

1. I was "pimp" smacking Omega's planets. Pimp smacking should not be done in a wealthy suburb; it should be done in "DaHood".
2. I was releasing those riches (planets) to the poor and unfortunate as the historical (fictional?) character Robin Hood.
3. I liked that "Robin" was a homophone for the slang word robbin' (or "robbing"), i.e. stealing planets.

I was being massed frequently by somebody, can't remember who, and thought that changing my name would get him off my back as I had no idea about player ID's at the time, yes a very n00by mistake but none the less he didn't know either so he never massed me again.

Anyway yeah was being massed and was watching a football(soccer) greats thing on TV and number 1 was none other than Pele so I thought what the hell I'll give it a bash.

I chose semper because it means always.

I thought it sounded cool, had a great meaning, and because ive been around here practically from the start and I can see myself being here till the end, leap frogging through play and time so to speak. One minute im here for 6 months, the next im gone for 9...and so on...

Cause I can kill 5 accounts in 4 secs. MAHAHAHAHAHHA

i chose illmatic because i like to be abit ILL (crazy)sometimes and MATIC means 'matos' (> 'matic' ending) meaning 'willing', so literally it is, self-willing (that is, 'act of one's own will')

so basically it means CRAZY ACT OF ONES OWN WILL

and yeh i like to be crazy on pupose lol

I choose Ifrit cause its name comes from a game I played up to the age of 19, game is Final Fantasy. Ifrit is the God of Fire and destructon. Thought it might fit properly in SGW.

was just playing with letters.

Because i like Role play both RL and also online like World of Warcraft or Lord of the Rings online.

And because i love Tolkiens Quenya and Sindarin AKA the real elven lang i found the name Nimras which means Unicorn or White Horn.

Since then i used Nimras always a girl because Unicorn and White horn dont fit a dude and i kinda wont find a new soo.
