No more PPT

How about trying a wave without ppt. Currently it is possible to go on PPT for, what, 3 days per week? For a high paced server that really is quite a long time. It is currently very frustrating to farm the top pages, as a high percentage of those with high incomes are on ppt.
I mean, try a wave without any kind of PPT. If you do have to go away for a weekend, get hit for naq, take the losses, but let the game go on. If the losses and the wep damage are that bad, create a NDF (no damage function), where you can be attacked, and your naq can be taken, but you don't take any damage. The NDF can then be in the place of PPT, and will protect those who need to go away for a day or so against massing.
Someone on NDF will still receive his full UP, and all his units will be there when he comes back, but it will allow the rest of the server to have their fun and to farm their favourite farms. The only real drawback from the farmer's viewpoint is that you can't mass down a defence to take naq.

hmm, when you think about the NDF, as opposed to PPT, it sounds like it could be a good thing.
i like the idea, and i'll send other people here.

the NDF does sound like a good idea.. protecting the account but not preventing farming.. but currently you can PPT 5days a week, not 3. but you need to buy a SS for the extra 2 days.

or even the whole week if you use the 3 day ppt just before the market reset, and again, and the 2 day SS, and the 3 day again, and the 2 day bonus...so.. pretty much

The problem with not having any form of PPT is that people would begin to simply turn farm...that lags the server and can cause negative naq amounts. Plus it gives people no opportunity to rebuild meaning that they'd simply quit as the game would become pointless. While I think it is a nice idea to maybe replace the 3day PPT with this...you should keep the 1 day PPT at the least.

I could live with a 1 day PPT. It's just the 3 (not everybody buy SS once a week, fortunately) out of 7 days on PPT which gets to me. 3/7 days is a full 42% of the time on PPT, which really is a bit much.
Regarding turn farming - I can't get enough ATs to even farm those with respectable amounts of naq out, and I do buy the max the market offers every day. Less ppl on PPT means more farms means that I don't have to wait for a certain farm to regen his naq. Though it might also be argued that the PPT lovers are normally also those with the most naq out, which could make them great turn farms.

Currently there are only a few that are okay to farm every turn...as the wave progresses there will become more and more though. I agree that the 3day PPT is a bit much. Although I'm thinking it may not actually be the wisest thing to take it because you can't farm for those three days and all...could get you a bit behind by taking it. And the 1 day is really only good if you're going to be away or need a break. The acquire is in my opinion the best option. Either UU or naq...whichever you think you need most.

The tactics regarding the use of a 3-day PPT is debatable; I also feel that it's a waste, but I'm very new to quantum, so I won't be surprised if I'm wrong.
What concerns me more is that about 80% of my good farms are on PPT about ... 43%!... of the time. That makes Q a lot less fun for me and, I believe, for many other farmers.

talked the idea over with admin, and he seemed to like the idea of a NDF, so dont be too surprised if it finds its way into future waves.
But as always, no promises

Cool! I'll look forward to seeing it there, and if it not there ... oh well, I'll just farm everyone who's not on ppt then.

I really hope to see this put in.
I think it sounds like a great idea.
If we were to have a vote on it I would definitely go for it.
Congrats on a good idea even if it doesnt get put in
