loosing planets

i just wanted to know if you just loose planet's ? i was playing today since about 13:00 gametime today june 15th and noticed my up lvl go down i checked and 1 of my up planets wasn't there . i was wondering if some1 conquered it ? but there was no notification that it was taken . so i was thinking do you get notified of a planet lost to conquering like a atack log when you just get atacked ?
please can some 1 help as it's drivin me insane .

If it's been taken by another player, then it should be in your attack logs.

it wasnt like that the last time i ascended. i think its been changed.

It has been changed. had someone conquer a planet and ascend and they were still in my logs.
